RE: Stadium Prices WTF
Until this week, I didn't realize that concessions prices sucked. I don't think it's ever crossed my mind to buy food at a sporting event, as it's been drilled into me since I was 8 that prices are ridiculous (thanks dad).
So...I'm all in on the boycott (I was ahead of the curve).

Now, if y'all wanna boycott liquor, I can't help

RE: Stadium Prices WTF
I usually don’t really pay attention to concession and drink prices bc I just assume they are going to be bad, and I want to drink at a sporting event… that being said, $15 for a basic ass beer or truly in a 75+% empty stadium is just obnoxious.

The concession workers are freaking terrible too.

Replace all those cashiers with self checkout or vending machines and use all the labor savings to lower prices. The service speed would double too.

As to fifteen dollar beer, bringing a half pint and buying a coke is less painful.

This is the answer!

They wouldn't have to raise the prices on the domestic beers if anyone would buy Bud Light. They are trying to make up the difference. 03-lmfao

I was embarrassed when they announced bud light as a sponsor last week on the coaches show.

I'm going to do what others suggestion and eat before the game and drink at the tailgate only.

Boycott those gougers. talk is cheap. hurt their revenue.

This maybe my last year for tickets. Getting old and $15 for a $3 dollar beer is beyond belief.

I hope that you not renewing tickets is not based on concession prices that can be avoided.

I will continue to support the sports programs with attendance since that is a major issue with the program.

I hope and think BJCC or the City or whomever sets the pricing loses revenue over time.

as I walked around the whole concourse, I even noticed the stand alone bar lost all the TVs and the covering like they sold their equipment. looked pathetic.

all the good food choices like those shrimp/grits were gone. its really devolved.

During the opening of stadium that place sold a UAB Blazers themed cocktail, now I don't even think they have liquor. I only saw cocktails in a can.
Agreed, the menu and drinks that were actually semi-worth those high prices are now gone, but the prices are not.

I don’t know how much it is now, but I got a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink at the high school playoffs in Protective & it was $22 then. It’d be cheaper to buy an extra set of the ultra cheap season tickets to get back in, after eating in your car at halftime.

A game lasts three hours. You could probably go without eating at the game itself. If you can’t go three hours without a beer you need professional help.

Childish way to deflect a legitimate gripe that will undoubtedly turn people away from what are already very meager attendance numbers at our games.

I agree they shouldn’t overcharge for water and should provide free refill stations.

I wasn’t making light of the situation. But I’m not boycotting Jax State games if the food prices get too high. If we played a game at y’all’s place I’m going to be there.

But you can eat before the game. And I can’t imagine refusing to go to a game because of the beer prices. And I do drink.

Maybe I’m just different but I like attending sporting events to watch the game. If I get there and concession prices are higher then I like I just skip them. But my cheapness supersedes my need for a mediocre hot dog.
