I only saw $7 bottles of water. You got a steal paying Disney prices.

Maybe we need to go back to Legion Field 05-hide

Seriously, has anyone eat or drink before going to the game? Or after?

Tailgate before you go in. At this point I figure to usually eat heavy before the game. Between the prices and lines, I'm not eating inside.

As to fifteen dollar beer, bringing a half pint and buying a coke is less painful.

The tailgate situation at legion was exponentially better. I normally do eat and drink before the game, but this time it was leaving work and driving 1.5 hours to make it in time for the game. I was happy to get there inside of an hour before kickoff. I suppose I could have bought something quick on the way, I just wasn’t expecting the price hike.

Probably should have put recognizable fast food restaurants in uptown instead of small business. Remember going over to Starkville and them having a chic-fil-a around the block, loaded with people. For the time that papa johns or little Caesar’s had a window at legion field, I looked forward to stopping by there every game.

BJCC allowing an outside entity to control concessions or beverages was a bad idea. Some folks who go to the stallions games claim that prices weren’t that bad for those games.

Souvenir cup at Jax state game is $4, compared to $10 for ours. One concession on Thursday didn’t have souvenir cups and was charging $6.50 for a 32 Oz paper cup. No lids that fit, either.

To the people who agreed these prices are nuts, thank you.

To the people defending these prices, y"all must be very affluent or have some serious sunshine pumper delrium.

UAB has always been a great way to bring a family to an affordable football game.

Whoever set these prices has lost their damn mind.

No, it's a captive market.

So water is now $7 per bottle, and the free refill stations have been removed. That would have been fun if we'd played on Saturday afternoon instead. Wonder what the PR plan is for someone dropping dead in the concourse.

On the other hand, I'll have plenty of personal space for the rest of the season, so it's not all bad.

But I do think a concessions boycott is appropriate and deserved.

The water refill tanks were still there. Behind a table set up on the south concourse by the railing.

Bottled water was cheaper at the concession stands that at the stand alone kiosks.

Any complaints need to be loud and very public if you want any chance of a change.
Venting on here won't do much besides let you blow off some steam.

If the concessions company is making money they don’t care if people think the prices are too high. It’s a captive audience and they know it. Eat before the game and don’t buy their overpriced crap.

But I don’t know how you organize a boycott where everyone is going to hear about it.

The same way we did to bring football back. Thing is that these prices are just enough to piss people off without being bad enough to make the angry fans put out that sort of effort.

Getting football back was a Herculean task. But that was probably an easier protest to organize. Dropping football was front page news. High concession prices aren’t. Tim Brando isn’t going to mention it on his podcast. Trent Dilfer isn’t going to be raising a fuss about it. Fans of other teams won’t care because they are getting ripped off too.

If you can get prices lowered that’s great but getting a mass boycott won’t be easy because people have a long history of just buying things they really don’t need even if it is overpriced.

Glad we tailgate.

Since the BJCC runs the facility, I would suggest contacting them and ask who to contact.

Last game was the last straw....I was all about helping out the local economy but I burned through $116 on food and beer last game.

I'm going to do what others suggestion and eat before the game and drink at the tailgate only.

Boycott those gougers. talk is cheap. hurt their revenue.
