Gametimes and tv schedules are set. Was really wanting a game on CBS, but we have quite a few conference games on ESPN/2/U. The Memphis game at Bartow is on ESPN. Gotta be the first time we've been on there in awhile, minus the NIT run.

Negative: only 2 of those are home games. This is why it is preached that “fans need to get their butts to the home games no matter how appealing the opponent/matchup is”. Positive: With that many road games on tv, we should pass the eye test if we come away with a win in the large majority of them. Can not play down to opponents when we are on tv.

Agreed. It's great to have this many games on national TV and it makes it easier to watch our away games. Hopefully next year we can get more home games on TV which should help recruiting.

Every game of the AAC conference tournament is on an ESPN channel too so we'll have a minimum of 10 ESPN games this year.

I was looking at last years TV schedule and we actually played more games on National TV last season than this season. We had 10 regular season games on CBS Sports Network or another linear network last year compared to 9 regular season games on one of the ESPN channels this year. I suppose more people have ESPN than CBS Sports but it's still not as big of an improvement as it initially appears to be.
I guess the biggest improvement is all of our other games will be on ESPN Plus instead or CUSA TV or Stadium.

The biggest improvement is just the network(s) we will be on. In the last few years, I could actually watch almost every UAB basketball game on TV. They just weren't on ESPN or ESPN2.

Every game that isn't actually on a real ESPN network will be on ESPN+ right?

edit: yep, just looked at uabsports.com. Everyone of our conference games is on ESPN+ at a minimum. Every single game. That's amazing compared to how it used to be.

10/13 OOC games on the schedule are on ESPN+ at a minimum. Two that aren't - MTSU and AAMU - are easy driving distance games.

Glad to see you are already in mid season form. I’m really concerned this team may start slow because of the inexperience and schedule. Hopefully the AAC actually gives us multiple shots at big wins this season, it’s something we haven’t had in ages. It’s all about how quickly this group comes together in my mind.

I’m expecting this team to start slow too. It’s how every other AK team has started since he’s been at UAB, even last years team with tons of continuity and experience.

We have a lot of talent and depth. I do expect us to be competitive, but wouldn’t be surprised to take several Ls early on. Tough schedule.

I just don’t want to see a Louisiana-type debacle like the football team had.. no excuse for that level of beat down

The UNCA game has been moved from Thursday 12/28 to Friday 12/29.

Start planning ahead for the Southern Miss game. Tip time is currently set for 2pm on the Friday before Christmas.

Any word on the scrimmages? I assume we play Auburn again?
