Everyone knew the schedule would get much better joining the American, but with the H&H draws we got, our schedule should be MUCH better than the last few years, especially with the early season tournament, game against drake, and hopefully another few good OOC games. THIS is a schedule you can really build an at large resume around.

I expect the nonconference schedule is going to be a definite notch above what we had gotten stuck with in the last iteration of C-USA. If we trade 3-4 of the woofer terrible games for 3-4 decent to good ones, it will make a big difference combined with the league schedule.

Agreed. I fully expect the team to struggle to start the season.. but like the last 2 seasons, I expect we will round into form and be a force to be reckoned after the midway point of the season.

Coach Kennedy had made mention of talking to Samford about playing, but they were wanting to wait until Jelly was gone. Jelly’s gone, but we weren’t on the OOC schedule that Samford released today.

ADMI blocked the last attempt to schedule Samford. That could still be the case.

Mark told me we weren’t scared to play them H or A.

Personally I don’t get the infatuation with playing them. They’d do nothing for us. We’ll be happy with who we get a home game from instead, from a team in that same conference.

“Anybody, any time, anywhere.” At least make it worth it from an SOS perspective. They won’t want a one-off and don’t deserve a return game.

I had heard from someone within the program that they turned down a HH last season. Not sure what happens this year.

A game was in the works last year. Per AK on one of his Coach's show, Samford decided it wasn't the right time.

Rocco Miller reports that UAB is hosting Bradley in the home opener on Nov 6th. Another quality mid major home game.

Well inside the top 100 NET last season. Another quality game on the schedule. These are the types of teams I’ve wanted us to schedule more of. I think it benefits both programs and there is more of a desire to work on a date on both ends. I’m very pleased with the number of SWAC games that won’t be on the schedule this season.

That's a quality game to start the season with. Kudos to the staff for getting this game, the game against Drake, and the early season tournament. These games, plus the much improved conference SOS will give us a very strong schedule next year. We could actually have a realistic shot at getting an at large bid with more than 3 losses.

Probably trying to get confidence building wins. I’m guessing the AAC conference schedule will be tougher. Although WKU and MTSU were good women’s programs in CUSA, the existing AAC members were having to recruit and compete against UConn just 4 years ago.

Interesting that we should've played Clemson two seasons in a row - last year in the NIT and this upcoming year in the early season tournament - but by a weird turn of fate, they were upset at home as the 1 seed by mighty Morehead State.

MTSU released their OOC schedule with us playing up there on 11/21. Assume that's a H/H series. Decent OOC road game.

I am hearing we will be playing Alabama A&M in Huntsville at there new gym.
