I mean, yeah it's hilarious they're the ones who cancelled, but they're a good team & we don't get an L ourselves. I could easily see us saying 'cool'.

They’re missing like 9 players because of Junior Worlds & injuries. They are #1 in the PairWise. Why in the hell would be cool with not playing that game?

We already beat their ass at their own rink and should have swept them if not for the terrible call at full strength. We would steamroll them and they know it. That's not how this works. They didn't agree to cancel... Michigan just cancelled. Forfeits aren't included in the Pairwise formula (per this tweet: https://twitter.com/chnews/status/147594...54400?s=20) since no game was played so it doesn't even matter. It's 100% bull**** but don't start pointing fingers at our own people

It will be very interesting to revisit this come conference tournament time. Maybe we should submit petition to the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee requesting they factor in a home 0-1 loss for Michigan and a road win for WMU into the pairwise calculation and compare. Who is in as a result? Who is out as a result? How would it impact seedings?

Think it's safe to say WMU had nothing to do with this. Between the press release, the official WMU hockey twitter account's activity, our players' tweets, and now the NCHC official account throwing shade, it's pretty clear this was unilateral.

Also important to note that if playing back to back games short handed was the issue, does anybody in this room think WMU wouldn’t gladly play on Friday or Saturday?

I wonder how this would have gone if the games were still being played at LCA??
