Once they get a full year, all carriers... I'd estimate $10M per school per year, total.

RE: Comcast
In a joint announcement by Comcast and the Walt Disney Company on Tuesday, the two companies revealed a new content carriage agreement that includes a provision that the ACC Network will be available to Xfinity customers in the very near future.
“Comcast will distribute the ACC Network to its Xfinity customers, allowing fans and followers of the Atlantic Coast Conference to access the multiplatform network in the coming weeks,” the companies announced in the press release.

RE: Comcast
Comcast will be doing another round of price hikes at the beginning of the new year, with prices going up on cable, internet, and voice packages. The company is now notifying customers of the increases. Comcast Xfinity Internet customers will also see their bill go up by $3.

RE: Comcast
In a bit now, a certain FSU fan is going to head here to tell us how the ACC is still doomed and its just a matter of time before the ACC is Big East 2.0 and its Swoffords fault and he told us so.

RE: Comcast
We got this info…
After taping the podcast, Comcast revealed where and when ACCN will be found: The sports channel, which carries Pitt athletics, will debut on Comcast Xfinity systems in the greater Pittsburgh region by Dec. 22 on expanded basic, sports + news and Latino starter levels of service as Channel 1325 in HD. The easiest way to access the channel is by speaking the channel name into the X1 voice remote. ACCN will be available in standard definition on Channel 263 in Pittsburgh and many suburbs.

Since it’s been reported that the ACC was already getting $17 million per year per school before the Comcast deal and that number may be artificially low because of startup costs and Covid, $10 million a year per school may be way off.

That $17M isn't ACCN revenue, it's the main television contract revenue - most of which comes from Tier 1 rights on ABC/ESPN/2. ACCN is incremental on top of that. GT reported it was $5M last year, but that was a partial year. I'm saying ACCN tops out at $10M. So that gets all ACC schools up to $27M - more as the T1 contract grows (at about $1M per year), but far short of what SEC schools make.

Reportedly Comcast is now up and running with ACCN.

Any estimate on what this will do for the team’s payout? Another $5M per school?

We should be making more than the PAC on a per school basis, right?

RE: Comcast
Quote:So stark is the outlook that sources within the conference and the sports media industry believe the Pac-12 should consider shuttering the six regional networks — and possibly the entire operation — as the business model loses leverage in the evolving post-pandemic media world.
“The conference needs to rethink everything it does,’’ an industry source explained. “Its position has weakened in the last two years. The whole notion of the Pac-12 Networks has to go.”

And Big 12
Once Texas and Oklahoma are gone, that won't even be difficult to do.
The $20M question, as usual, is just how far will the ACC lag behind the SEC and B1G?
