Attack me all you want, this whole thing is officially overblown (and condolences if you have lost anyone...smoking kills 600k oer year, and no outrage)
Big difference. I own shares of Altria so please smoke up (just make sure it is Marlboro).

So if JMU had gone to the Sun Belt and gone undefeated could have gotten a Toilet Bowl game with Liberty? That’s messed up...

Or that JMU team could go to the Peach Bowl.

let's not forget - CCU was locked out of playing against another ranked team (#18 cajuns) due to a single Covid case
that might have helped them be less screwed..but screwed they were!

If JMU had gone to the Sun Belt, finished undefeated, and finished the season around top 10 in the FBS that would be by FAR JMU's best season. Having BYU at JMU would of been it's biggest home game of all time.
With that said, I will acknowledge CCU is probably a top 40 team, at best, as the Sagarins suggest. That said, things have fallen right for them. They put them self in a position to be able to have that happen for/to them.

Without the virus they play the Univ of LA, but they don’t play BYU. So probably in the same position..

RE: Gameday at Coastal Carolina
ahh fair point, but i'm not saying it's because there is a virus. that train left the station and BYU happened
the over-reaction to 1 positive test is what caused the loss of the ULA game, so they didn't have to be in that position (and the BYU game would have stayed)

Sure, but they’re on the upswing as a football conference IMO.

I wonder if Coastal Carolina get paid for this bowl?
I know Duke Dawg said they lose money on bowls, but he should not be trusted based on history of poor judgment and inaccuracies

Inaccuracies? You are the king of these. I can promise you DD does his research before posting. He also doesn’t use articles from five years ago to support his current argument.
I look forward to reading DD’s posts because they are informative. Yours? Not so much. Just the same stuff over and over.

Not really. I am actually good friends with Dukeman in real life. I just like to blast him on the boards for fun. DD knows him to as does PGJMU.

RE: Gameday at Coastal Carolina
Awesome that Coastal and Liberty get the Espn primetime game this Saturday night at 7:30. Great coverage for them. Hope the game is close in excitement to the game of the season so far with BYU and Coastal.
If Liberty had made that last-second FG against NC State and gone 3-0 against the ACC, both teams would be undefeated and in the top 15-20.
Should be a great game and fun to watch our true rivals. I actually think Liberty will win if Willis is healthy.
Attendance limited to 12k. I would have definitely gone to Orlando for this if JMU had made it.

I would definitely go also.
Frisco is a fun environment for the Natty, but Orlando >>> Frisco
I think a lot more of our fans would enjoy Orlando.
