You're right...shoot me. How could they?
Just put the DNC logo on midfield and be done with it.
BLM is a political op.
Though there are undoubtedly more people that identify with the left than the right who support BLM and the goals of ending systemic racism, I know several republicans, particularly younger republicans, who support black lives matter.
It's becoming something that hopefully will transcend ideology. (Much the same as I knew plenty of young republicans who support issues like gay marriage and LBGTQ rights).
I’m all about black lives and every other color, creed, age, gender, sexuality, etc. life mattering.
The BLM organization and the hateful racist jerks that run it are largely Marxist pieces of sh!t who wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire. UC unimaginatively runs to glorify those jerks, a chunk of my disposable sports income and donation funds just got permanently freed up.
STOP DERAILING THREADS WITH POLITICAL BS. WE DON'T FACKING NEED IT HERE. DONE WITH THIS CRAP.

Speaking of the OLine, we have some beef beasts on the roster. My gosh we should be able to get a run push/running lane open when we need it. Pass blocking is the key. Pencil in these as the starter group?...
LT - Hudson 6' 5" 308, JR
LG - Cooper 6' 4" 325, SO
C - Robinson 6' 0" 308, JR
RG - McConnell 6' 5" 300, JR
RT - Harper 6' 7" 315, SR
Look at the size of some of these young, back-up monsters...
Jonathan Allen 6' 5" 345, FR
Loren Metz 6' 9" 330, SO
Joey Groeber 6' 3" 330, SO
Colin Woodside 6' 5" 321, SO
Ethan Voelker 6' 5" 311, SO
Marcelo Mendiola 6' 3" 310, FR
Dylan O'Quinn 6' 4" 307, SO

is Cooper guaranteed a starting spot? i was never quite sold on him when he was starting. Seemed like a lot of penalties, both pre-snap and live. He's coming off of a major injury as well. i know some coaches say you don't lose your starting spot due to injury. i'm not one to subscribe to that philosophy. Best player plays and i don't know if that's Cooper.

Agree, that's why I said "pencil in" these starters?...someone may have more info on the subject than I do. Metz is another one who may or may not be in the starting mix. I'm just stoked about the size and depth of the OLine room. In particular, the next wave of youngsters that will see action in the coming seasons.

Among fans, he may hold the distinction of being the most criticized QB in college football who has delivered 22 wins and two bowl victories in two years. Yet, reaching this 2020 team's goals will surely require more pass completions. My hope is that after the first few non-conference games we (and our coaches) will know if he's taken that next step. If not, it could get interesting. Beating UCF, Memphis and Nebraska will certainly require putting the ball in the air for completions more than we saw last year.
Trent Dilfer won a Superbowl and no one considers him a great QB. Ridder is our Trent Dilfer.

Thanks for sharing. A fun look back and it also generates lots of excitement for the 2020 season and anticipation for the 2021 recruiting class. Bearcat fans have much to look forward to beginning in 60 days.

I wasn’t all that impressed. I thought his replacement was a significant upgrade. Coaches seem to love his size and upside but he held on nearly every other play. Thankfully they can’t call it every time. He’s young so he can obviously develop.

I think one of Tubs biggest failures here (there were many) was recruiting the interior. It appears CLF and company have really made some headway in this department.

OL isn't sexy but this guy has a lot to prove to himself, former coaches and fans. I think he is going to be a monster.
He certainly was against BC. Flat dominated anyone who was in front of him

Not to pile on Tubs and company (but here I go), these are the toughest positions to recruit for an elite G5 or non-elite P5 and I agree that CLF and his staff have done a fine job mixing transfers, development prospects, and ready now guys to earn 22 wins in two years.
It's hard work for sure. And when we read that Tubs hadn't ever set foot in Colerain High School during his tenure here, if true, it told us everything we needed to know about lack of effort in recruiting.
Hudson may have been the biggest key to blowing out BC in Birmingham--in his first Bearcat game!

If you think about it, CLF is from Ohio and coached at Ohio State. The state may not quite be a Wisconsin in terms of breeding/raising farm bred OL giants LOL but not too shabby either. Fick saw first hand at tOSU the impact of a big, physical line winning in the trenches and having a solid running game to compliment the pass under Jim Tressel. It really makes sense this has been a recruiting emphasis for he and the staff. I'm most impressed that he is developing a long term recruiting vision of young, quality depth on the OL that could become a niche for both the program and for the players.

I honestly didn't believe you that was a player because its the best kicker nickname ever so I looked him up. Here's what the enquirer article said his stats were:
Fast forward to 2020 and Lundberg just finished a four-year career for Indian Hill where he hit 24-of-32 of his field goals and 196-of-208 of his extra points. He even tackled five guys that dared to run the few kickoffs he didn't deposit into the endzone.
Most of the misses were snap/holder issues. Has excellent distance.
His record 48 yarder would have been good from 60.
