Another, when asked the same question about who the citizens are supposed to call when in imminent danger said "I hear that loud and clear from a lot of my neighbors, and I know from myself too, that comes from a place of privilege".

The pendulum of the Left always swings to the insane and when it does it gives the pendulum of the right the push it needs until it reaches the apex of overreaction. Our (failed mayoral candidate) County Commissioner is trying this nonsense in Memphis. I believe she came up in the news a few years ago when we had the large riot in Frayser because the Marshalls shot a fugitive. She defended the rioters who were throwing concrete walls at police officers.

It's nice to see our county commission hasn't given in to the nutjobs yet. Also, as someone who lives in a municipality that is policed by the sheriffs because we don't have a large enough town for our own police force, the SCSO is already stretched fairly thin, even before you take away a supposed $18mil from their budget.
