https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/jk...sex-gender

Sex is real is "anti-trans????" JK Rowling makes anti-trans remarks is the headline for everyone but Fox.

This goes along with Drew Brees remark as something nobody should be upset about. Sex is real. It exists.

There are a bunch of people who spend every day finding something to be upset about.

That will still tune in. I have a family member that told me he would DVR the games so he could watch the anthems and see who was kneeling. He also pays for that cable channel where they just flip through all the games and show the scoring plays live.

The reality you are ignoring is NFL ratings have been hurt by politicizing the NFL in recent years. And we may be about to see a huge jump in the politicization this season.

Once a man refuses to stand by his convictions and bow down to outside pressure, he has lost all respect and deserves no respect. Brees is a coward who wilted overnight.

I know its wasn't your intent, but you're making my point for me.

The ratings dropped and the NFL got a lot of push back in 2016-2017. When they took a stand against protesting the anthem, ratings came back up in 2018-2019.

Yes and during that time of Lower ratings, they still had record revenues

I suppose they feel there won’t be any negative repercussions from this. The NFL clearly are feeling themselves and don’t think what happened to the NBA could happen to them. Americans have learned what life is like without sports and it’s not that bad.

Right and that's why the Tiger Phil golf thing did record numbers. Live sports is about all advertisers can do now.

You are trying way too hard to avoid the basic facts and point here.

Revenue does not drop the same year as ratings, they drop in the years that follow when its time for new network contracts.

Politicizing the NFL is going to hurt ratings, which will cause a domino effect and hurt future TV revenue which is the NFL cash cow.

You have to be pretty darn foolish to think politicizing the game will not be a huge negative.

According to at least one poster here, this is intolerance.

He'll have to not only give Kaepernick his job, he'll also have to kneel before him and apologize for being white on national TV.

Of course that still won't be enough.

Has Kaepernick disowned his parents and his white ancestors?

I had no idea he was Black when I saw him play at Nevada. Then I never heard of him again until he dissed the flag.

As someone who had Kap in fantasy football for a while, the reason he is not playing is due to his wild inconsistency. He would score 5 tds in one game and then take 5 weeks to get 5 more. He has a highly inaccurate arm.
