This makes absolutely no sense. Lebron James is a black man, a professional athlete, in America, responding to remarks from a white man, a professional athlete, in America, about protesting styles related to race relations, often during professional sports games, in America.

Why should he be condemned for not commenting on Hong Kong politics or religious persecution in other parts of the world? They are completely unrelated. He is using his platform to comment on a topic much closer and more topical to home and who he is as a person. That entire tweet was just asinine.

1. The statistics don’t support what BLM is supposedly protesting.
2. Bron has never taken a knee in protest.

Drew has 10s of millions of dollars involved in restoring New Orleans. There’s a form of bullying by this cancel culture BS when someone doesn’t conform to what someone else believes.

Was this a reference to LeBron kissing China's a$$ several months ago?

Drew did something that others aren't willing to do. It appears he had more dialogue with his peers and was made aware of what the kneeling was truly about. After having that dialogue, he understood and rectified his stance. Some of you need to take that approach. Then again, some of you aren't willing, so it's a moot point. Big ups Drew for having a backbone along with the ability to listen and understand that some are sorely lacking.

Again, there are ways to protest that don't alienate a huge number of the people you'd like to have on your side. Of course, that's the whole point isn't it?

Protests are protests, whether they are peaceful or otherwise..... Do you agree with what Drew said?

Refuse to play or show up to the state capital/town hall displaying my 2nd amendment. Also, in this case, I’d educate myself on the statistics and address the issues at the root of the problem instead of going straight to pointing fingers everytime.

01-wingedeagle

Yeah thats the real truth here. Brees had ZERO idea why anyone ever took a knee, he was totally ignorant of why they were taking a knee and was totally ignorant of the existence of any examples of police brutality or poor treatment of minorities.

Despite dedicating his live and countless millions to poor minorities in his community and helping to rebuild poor New Orleans communities from the ground up following Katrina, he literally had no idea there were any injustices or that black people were even poor.

Thank the Lord someone finally took him aside this week and let him know that poverty and injustices in the world exist.

I wouldn't. I don't see much point in protesting. I will defend my rights by whatever means necessary, but that's a different thing altogether.

He condemned the Houston Rocket's GM for speaking out in favor of the Hong Kong people. Basically he was mouthing off in favor of the Chinese government's totalitarianism and racism.
He's a hypocritical moron with no ethics.

He talked to his sponsors and caved.

We all know what kneeling is all about. Its about rich privileged Black athletes saying they hate the country that made them rich.

Peacefully without dangerous rhetoric that inflames people fomenting hatred, violence and rioting which only FURTHER hurts and damages minority communities.

As is so often the case, you seem totally unaware that the entire country was unified in outrage of the George Floyd killing and several other examples and want justice.

Anti-fascist are fascist. Don’t disagree with BLM or you will be attacked mercilessly. No matter that BLM has nothing to do with the black condition and everything to do with destroying America. The organization BLM can go to hell. How’s that for protesting?
