RE: 2020-21 Roster
If that transfer rule had passed and nobody else leaves
we could have been looking at a brand new starting 5
Sloan
L. Brewer
Johnson

Is Sloan going to be eligible next year?

To me, that could be a solid 5 (if the transfer rule goes in our favor), but the bench could be iffy if we don't find some new bodies. A point guard is a definite.

Williamson named his topped 5. We aren't on the list
Wake Forest
Georgetown
San Diego State
Brigham Young
Tulsa
3 of those make no sense to me I am thinking Wake is the favorite but McClung also named Wake as a finalist, he might go to Georgetown in place of him.

And Patterson would give us a solid 8.
Hopefully Weber will develop into the rotation.
Corley and Smith give us something in the middle.
Pieces are there, but 2 probably aren't going to be available. need some ball handlers.

Would love to see Corley develop and improve like Lucas did.

RE: 2020-21 Roster
Yes if no other players leave then we have the talent of a very good ball club. But we need points. That cannot be overstated as all the great talent will be useless without good point play. Hopefully Coach will announce something pretty soon about a juco or other experienced player. Fingers crossed.

I don't get these either. ETSU is the most straightforward path to lots of minutes even with McClung leaving GU, and the ETSU rotation outside PG will be really solid. Davien has always been on winning teams; GU and Wake will definitely not be that anytime soon. Is the step up to SDSU or BYU conference wise really that substantial to make it worth sitting a year? Tulsa... huh? Unlike Bo and his letter, we don't know what's motivating Davien to leave, but like Hodges, these seem like choices where the grass isn't necessarily going to be greener, but I wish Davien nothing but the best.
Reading the Wake board, they really want him, but that's because they have like 7-8 scholarship players at the moment. Otherwise, they see him as "solid, not spectacular" for whatever that is worth. I think he could be a little better than that, but we shall see I guess.

A little bit more details from Williamson himself:

20pts, 6asts 6steals. But not seeing any offers
Weak competition and/or academics.
he was 2nd team all conference, player of the year is going to Boston University so yeah competition doesn't sound great plus I would love a JUCO or transfer.
I saw on twitter that Truth Harris is coming https://twitter.com/RockyTruth/status/12...2278030342
Listed anywhere from 5'10 to 6'2.

Is Truth a high school senior or a junior college player? Also, is he a true point?

Then he is a huge signee. And if we can get Sloan on campus then the prospects of our team next year just went way up! Welcome Truth!

Looks like he was also offered by Old Dominion. Hopefully we can still pull in players that are getting high major or solid mid major offers.

I think Wiliamson is announcing tomorrow/today (Sunday) sometime. BYU making late hard push. Smart money thinks still a toss-up between Aztecs and Forbes.

What else do we know about Truth? Did he have any other offers besides ODU? I know that's all Verbal Commits listed but they aren't always accurate when it comes to that.

Not sure about offers, but his highlight videos and snippets from twitter are EXTREMELY impressive. I'm not usually too impressed by these videos, but his is WOW.
