Only one JMU Drexel game as we played the first a few weeks ago. Single game on the 28th in H'burg.

March 1, 2021: Expands to age group 55–64
March 22, 2021: Expands to age group 45–54
April 12, 2021: Expands to age group 35–44
May 3, 2021: Expands to age group 16–34

That feels rather optimistic to me. It's taken this long to do 65+ and 55-64 can be done in 3 weeks?

Took a long time for each state to read the instructions and then to find the "on" button. The machine is humming now.

That would be great. I would be very surprised if it is that fast. However, my guess is that it becomes possible if the Johnson and Johnson vaccine is approved for widespread use. That vaccine is a one shot deal and apparently does not require the same level of transport and cold storage that both of the 2 shot current ones require. It also makes sense to me that the older population would get the current ones since they appear somewhat more effective.

The number of doses administered has greatly increased in the last month at least here in Virginia. But, a long way to go. Lots of people working a lot of hours to try and get shots administered. I've basically given up on any normalcy for students this semester, but really hoping things can be normal in August for the ones returning from 5 yrs old through college.

The younger the target crowd, the more likely they can navigate the online signups, too. This was one of the problems that was mentioned in relation to the initial delays.

Since it is a virtual meet, who is being protected out of an abundance of caution? Don't both teams practice within their own teams every day, thereby already possibly exposing each other every day? So what is different about a virtual meet from what occurs every day in practice?

More likely, Ohio State is still depressed about losing to Oral Roberts in basketball and just wasn't up to losing to another "nothing" school.

The school isn't doing a spring break - they basically gave 6 random days throughout the semester off, rather than one consecutive week, to dissuade travel.

I can see wanting to, but seems like that kind of thing wouldn't be something that was strictly up to her. But I have no idea what is and isn't within the powers of a university president.

Side note: Cornell is made up of multiple schools and some of them are public. From wikipedia: "Cornell consists of nine privately endowed and four publicly supported "statutory colleges": the New York State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, College of Human Ecology, School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and College of Veterinary Medicine." I don't know how that would impact their decision.

Don't most K-12 schools require vaccinations? I'm not a lawyer, but I'm not convinced lawsuits would go anywhere.

Public and private K-12 schools in Virginia require a variety of vaccinations, though religious exemptions can be granted. None of this has been particularly fraught until the covid vax.
