Collectively, XFL QBs have thrown as many INTs as TDs.
Yesterday, Silvers of the Seattle Dragons completed 7of 18 for 91 yds.
Two Viper QBs combined for 0 TDs and 3 INTs.
Guardians QB McGloin went 8 of 19 for 44yds., 0 TDs, and 2 INTs.
Cardale Jones proved to be the exception, throwing for 276 yds. and 2 TDs.
XFL teams are averaging 17 points per game. In the NFL last season, teams averaged 23 point per game. This in a league (XFL) that boasts of rules that are supposed to favor offensive production and high scoring games.
Cardale Jones has been the only XFL QB I've seen that could, with some refinement, be a quality NFL starter if given time to develop.
Always liked Cameron Artis-Payne with the Panthers as well; was good to see him run like he always did there.

Let’s face it, half the starters in the NFL aren’t good NFL quarterbacks, the idea of finding one in the XFL was very, very, slim.

That's true, but the NFL is so married to the "measurables" that a lot of excellent college QBs don't get considered. If the XFL is willing to take a leap on some guys who aren't 6'3" and 220 lbs, they might be surprised what kind of talent they uncover.

I said this Sunday to a buddy during the Renegades game. At any given time there are probably only 15-25 truly great QBs on the planet. That doesn't seem to bode well for QB play in the XFL.

RE: XFL Starts in 15 Minutes on ABC
It would help if the league had QB’s that had played live football in the last 3 years. The AAF had the same problem. This could get better if the league makes it to year 2, the current starters as well as the QB group coming out of college this year, play in season 2. Actual game experience is so much more valuable then practice squad experience. But also look at the AAF, after week 3/4 there were some QB changes to resulted in better play. Got to give the product time to develop.
This is one for the problems with starting these leagues in prime time on everyone’s tv. There has been no time to develop as a team or player before everyone in the country is watching you.

So the question is, is this a professional league or a developmental league akin to the G League. The USFL signed a bunch of players from college who would have been or were NFL, 1st through 3rd rounders. They signed three Heisman Trophy winners. They had QBs like Jim Kelly, Doug Flutie and Steve Young. Maurice Carthon, a Kelvin Bryant, Bobby Herbert, Gary Anderson, Reggie White, Anthony Carter...
Coaches? Jim Mora, George Allen, Jack Pardee, Pepper Rodgers, Mouse Davis and Steve Spurrier.
You do often get what you pay for.

They are not exactly raiding NFL and CFL rosters for QBs

The league needs to decide what it is and what it’s mission is. Is it developmental, have good college QB’s that didn’t get drafted, or competing with NFL, which means you got to pay enough to get that 2nd string QB off the bench in the NFL and on the field in the XFL.

Week 2 TV Ratings out
XFL viewership down about a million from week 1 to week 2.

The real tell will be around week 5 when every has had a couple home games.
The problem I’m having is trying to figure out why I should be interested in watching a game. Closest team is over 8 hours away, no big players from the state of Alabama, nothing has really drawn me into watching. I have watched, but not like I did with the AAF. How do you not have a team in the southeast???(Tampa is not considered southeast).
Are you Texas people interested in either of the Texas teams?

I had no interest really in the AAF cause of lack of proximity probably.
I've tuned in to both Renegades games cause I live about 3 miles from the stadium. I plan to make at least 1 game in person to check it out. I'll admit though, really the only reason I'm slightly intrigued is how close I live to one of the teams.

I was an AAF season ticket holder, as we had a team in our backyard.
I’ve watched a little of the two games played so far by the Houston and Dallas franchises . . . I mean, it’s Football . . . and this IS Texas where even Bad Football is better than No Football.
To be honest, I’m finding this XFL 2.0 a little underwhelming. There really aren’t any big name stars you can point to, and the quality of play to this point leaves something to be desired. Guess I could “take it” or “leave it.”
If it survives, and they do (at some future date) expand, I hope they’ll look at some of the cities the AAF had franchises in.

I get not loving the league but what's not to like? It's football. The fact that there are only 8 teams make it easy to follow. Me and one of my friends have gone to a bar to watch the last two weekends and there's been others interested as well. My friend acts like he an investor though. He won't shut up about it or barstool sports lol

I am a footballholic and I can tell you that being able to watch on my devices effortlessly is huge. An example is that the NFL App on my phone knows I am in Atlanta and therefore allows me to see the same games I would get locally OTA TV. No additional sign in and no cable provider needed. This is below CFL level football. You had better make this impossible for me not to watch .

XFL Starts in 15 Minutes on ABC
The one thing I don’t understand from scanning Twitter and message boards the last two years was the unbridled delight self-proclaimed football fans took in the failure of AAF and XFL.
Neither competed for players against your favorite NFL team or college team. Neither was preempting NFL or NCAA broadcasts. They provided football jobs, gave guys a chance to make a living doing what they loved. Created more experience opportunities for coaches. Provided a laboratory to experiment with rules. Gave officials the chance to improve their skills.
All these things are good for football but yet many football fans are happy they are gone. Just don’t get it.
