I think this league could actually work...

Vince Mcmahon is a proud, stubborn bastard with A LOT of moolah-the original XFL is definitely a fail he wants to rectify and I think he's old and crazy enough to blow millions into trying to make this league viable. Obviously, the play has got to be solid, but I think there's solid names in place throughout the league, the facilities are solid as well as the broadcast gig. These first few weeks I'll be really interested to see how people react and whether they'll come back.
Silvers scores the XFLs first touchdown!

He was really impressive on that drive.
Overall, the product is much better than the Alliance. I'm not a huge fan of the constant interviews, but I do enjoy being able to hear coaches and player interactions. I Really enjoy the extra point system-its definitely going to make for some crazy games no doubt.
Just play football.

Some Troy on Troy action as Jonathan Massaquoi sacks Brandon Silvers. Massaquoi played for Larry Blakeney at Troy from 2009 to 2012.
Got to say I like the extra point rules of going for 1 2 or 3
the fox sports broadcast is MUCH better than espn

My husband and I really liked these games. The rule differences are great.
I actually enjoyed both games today and am looking forward to Sunday's pair.
Sunday game was a little rough (vipers easily looked the worst of the teams I've seen so far) but It was awesome to hear Greg Olson calling the game

Vipers need to keep Flowers at QB and find some receivers who aren't afraid to take a hit or go after the ball instead of waiting for it to come to them. Oh, and know their routes.
Former Jag, Wes Sexton, TE (#83) plays for St. Louis BattleHawks in Sunday's game 2, versus Dallas Renegades.

And that makes me a St Louis fan. These crowds aren’t looking so good at the Dallas game. Not sure if NFL cities is the way to go. NFL city fans just aren’t gonna have the same hunger for the game that the midsize and non NFL serviced cities would have.

Still hoping this works and can get past year one. Would like to see team owners instead of all teams owned by Vince.
Seeing old Globe Life reconfigured as a football stadium is wild.

I think there still could be a solid fan base there but as much as I respect trying to repurpose Globe Life, it's still too big of a stadium to be playing there (I think SMU's stadium is much more appropriate size). Same goes to New York-NO REASON to be playing at Met Life. MLS Stadiums if not mid major CFB stadiums are the way to go for these XFL Teams

In that city/metroplex, not sure why they chose a retired baseball field over a multitude of actual football stadiums. I think the AAF had better cities, hopefully if the XFL makes it to next year we see expansion back to some of those cities. Figure Birmingham will have a brand new stadium, and has been a part of every league not called the NFL.

Totally agree with this.

Ratings are in for Game 1, it drew 3.3 million viewers. The first AAF game drew 2.9 million. Going forward, it will be interesting to see if they can maintain/grow their viewership.
