How bout Kellen Moore?

Why not?

Was a joke. Most BSU fans would like him if Harsin leaves. I suppose getting some experience at Memphis would be a good thing before coming home. If BYU ever gets smart they will go after him. He married an LDS lady.

Like they say, you can't ever go back home. Kellen Moore to Memphis!

He'll be gone from Dallas once they fire Garret. Makes all the sense in the world.

Hell no. He had his shot.

Ryan Silverfield is the local favorite. Same mold as Fuente and Norvell, up and coming assistant who is well thought of and was lead recruiter for Norvell. I doubt we go the re-tread route. I'd take Odom back as our DC in a heartbeat, though.

Todd Graham is still available. Slightly tongue in cheek, but he is responsible for Novell's success.

Who you guys playing in the Hawaii bowl?

Congrats on the season. I would say act like you’ve been there before but you haven’t. Enjoy your first BCS/NYD game you guys earned it.

I would say they should go after Boise’s coach. It would be easy to negotiate. Higher pay, more premier conference, take the next step in your career. Only thing is the MWC is trash these days so who knows if he can actually coach.

Imagine what these 4 can accomplish with Memphis/AAC caliber players and recruiting footprint.

Look at Napier from ULL. He immediately turned that program around with the prior coach's players - and that coach wasn't exactly recruiting lights-out. He brought in a strong class last year. He worked under both Swinney and Saban; and he came from Az State under Graham, which I believe was where Norvell was.

He definitely recruits better than aac coaches

RE: Who will Memphis hire?
If I was looking for an up and comer who has done well at a REALLY difficult school... id look at Billy Napier. Hes done a damn fine job at ULL and honestly, Memphis is set to run already. He can come in and take over a well oiled machine instead of rebuild like he has at ULL. If it wasnt for a few questionable calls by the refs, they would ahve knocked off App State for the Sunbelt title.

I am still shocked Randy Shannon hasnt been linked to anything. The man is a great Florida recruiter and his defenses have been stellar everywhere he goes. Who knows, maybe he gets a HC position at FAU.

Healy's going to be a good one for some school but probably not Memphis. Napier too. Those two & Silverfield should be the short list, IMO. And SILVERFIELD should win out. If he's the choice, he'll keep most of the staff, all of the recruits & the change will be seamless.....isn't that right UH?

Unlike our seamless hire, it seems Memphis fans would be happy with Silverfield.

My thoughts exactly. We've established a successful model of common assumptions/inputs, why tweak the assumptions /inputs that have led to successful outputs?

Though I want to, I'm not sure I buy the 20 years statement, except under the following context:

The next big realignment is expected around 2025 when the big media contracts expire. If he stays 4 years like Fuente and Norvell did, Memphis may be included with the big boys at that time of realignment if he keeps the train rolling. He'll be staring in the face of a world of opportunities at Memphis at that time that weren't afforded to either Fuente or Norvell in their 4 years here.
