Utes locked in a good one with Weber State. Utah up 14-10 late 2nd quarter and Utah in red zone

Utes had a bumpy start - 2 turnovers in the first quarter led directly to 10 pts for Weber St. Utah went on to score 41 pts straight and looked pretty good. The defense is legit and held Weber to 61 total yards.

Now the team starts prepping for the trip to your house! See ya there. Should be a good game.

I deliver so many beer nuggets in my day (working for Lukulos and Pizza Pros). SO GOOOD.

Beer Nuggets. Making cardiologist rich since the 1970s.

What compliments binge drinking? Some fried dough and spicy marinara sauce.

I miss those days.

Right now the ESPN match-up predictor has NIU with a 29.9% of winning.

http://www.espn.com/college-football/gam...=401012730

I wonder if that was updated after today's Iowa game?

That's about the percent chance I would say of NIU getting in the endzone at least once

The fact that this game is at home should make it a more respectable 30 point loss.

I could see this game playing out to a very similar score to the Iowa game.

Would love to hear all your thoughts on Utah and the upcoming game.

I live in MN and I've always been very impressed with NIU football. Your teams are usually tough and play hard-nosed football. I was excited for the Gophers when they hired Kill (too bad his health just wouldn't let him coach at his best).

Anyway, I don't know why Utah is traveling to NIU. When I saw this game announced I thought it was a bad idea because you guys have all the makings for a scary game for Utah and it's got me nervous. But I'll be there cheering on my Utes and hoping to avoid the upset.

Anything a visitor should know about Dekalb? Where to stay, where to eat, other tips?

For dessert head to Ollie’s and get some frozen custard. That place is amazing.

Except Utah > Iowa and I doubt that NIU finds an offense in one week. I disagree that the main problem is play calling. The main problem is the lack of a legit college QB. We had one but he was run off by this coaching staff.

+1000. QB's can't play their game if they're always looking over their shoulder at the coach. The offense looked so much better with Santa at QB.

The defense looked better too because they weren't on the field all game and I'm sure they get a lift when the offense scores points.

Rod Careys downfall began in the season NIU played OSU and BC. Something happened in that time that made him lose faith in his abilities and his players ability. I know he has had success along the way but something changed in that time

Im not over thrilled with how things are shaping up weather-wise Saturday. Does not look promising. This season may be one we just all want to forget.

RE: Utah v. Northern Illinois
Guys, time for some optimism as we look forward to Utah game on Saturday. Although the score does not reflect it, we all know the Iowa game was a winnable game. Meaning we played straight up with a top tier Big Ten team in their house. This is good thing. If (I know a big if) coaching staff can get the play calling under wraps and Childers can relax a bit and get more agressive we still have the makings of a solid season. We have all anticipated the season starting to long to give up this quick. Let’s bring it this weekend and restore some faith in Huskie football.

Go Huskies

I know the start was not great, but a little melodramatic maybe? Geez.
