Instead of letting last night play out a little bit longer and getting a full understanding of what was going on, he decided to put being first ahead of being right.
I do not have the direct quote but (in essence) he said the is a huge game, especially this late in the year... they HAVE to finish it today.
It was pretty damn clear that none of those players were going to be able to play after that (on either team) .... period.
I'm no Skip Bayless fan but the pearl clutching over his tweet is just way over the top and stupid.
Shannon Sharpe refused to even go on air the next day. Dude get a life you total drama queen. Its was just a tweet and a thought the guy had, its was clearly not intended to be disrespectful. It was just a hot take over what was a huge game with major playoff implications right at the end of the year. It just shows why people should not really be tweeting at all. Very little good every comes from it and a hot take can be turned into the end of the world when people begin to pile on for attention and social virtue signalling points. Skip Bayless says a lot of dumb things and has for decades. People make a bigger deal out of it than it is just to act the most offended for social media points. Its competitive outrage.
The fact is Sharpe is looking for shelter from his own personal issues with violence against women via scoring as many "woke" virtue signaling points as possible.

RE: What grinds your gears?
Was walking out of the gym this morning and started talking to the woman working at the front desk about my kids. Gen Z girl walks and:
- Drove a Smart Car
- Was wearing an N-95
- Forgot her card so gave her name to check in. The last name was hyphenated. When asked for her first name she said she was not sure, her mother had given her two first names and wasn't sure how it was entered into the system. The name in the system was Storm, which is the name she prefers to go by.
- She was early to mid 20s, but was 100 pounds overweight.
- I kid you not, she brought a book to the gym entitled "How to Be an Antiracist" by Ibram X. Kendi.
This girl was a walking internet meme.

My gears? Grinding.
The weather-terrorists are breathlessly predicting sno-nami!, sno-pacalypse!, sno-mageddon!, ... it's calm, clear, and minus 13F (<-- too cold to snow, and that is a thing).
If the wind comes up in 6-10 hours, now you've got my attention. But I've lived in this climate half a century. The motto "don't like the weather wait five minutes" is truth.

RE: What grinds your gears?
Stupidity... Its what I've dealt with for the last few weeks.
Yesterday I caught a grown man doing something totally stupid and unsafe and when I asked what the hell was he doing, he knows he's not supposed to that.. I was called a MF'er and he wanted to pick an argument, finally after about 3 minutes of him not understanding, I said to hell with it, we're done and I called his boss and told him to fix it or he was bounced..
Today our safety guy came onsite and he complained to him and said maybe we need to revoke my safety privileges. Safety guy said, what did you do wrong, guy said nothing.. Our safety guy tracked me down and I told him.. So he went back to the guy and told him, you're lucky, G wanted to bounce you but decided to not because what was done was stupid.
So now he's calling his BA with the Union to have me removed... Can't. Make. This. Up.

RE: What grinds your gears?
What grinds my gears? Me. One time I was driving my 12k mile M5 in a pissed off manner. I absolutely destroyed the clutch, the guys at the BMW store seemed very impressed at how badly it was treated. They replaced it under warranty b/c the miles were so low, but I don't think they would have replaced it a 2nd time. I was a bit more careful after that.

RE: What grinds your gears?
This is gonna sound really silly..
But we're having a Bourbon lottery here in the state for allocated bottles of bourbon. I joined and looked at the bottles and picked one I'd like to try.. You could put in for all of them, but if you won any bottle, your name is removed from the lottery for the rest.. I was told I did it wrong I should've went for them all.. Whatever.. Emails started going out this morning, I haven't been notified if I won or lost.. But I'm in a FB group and a guy posted he won a bottle (not the one I wanted), and was mad he won because it wasn't the bottle he had his heart set on... That frustrates me because I'm sure there's someone out there who wanted that and now won't get it cause of him.. Gears are ground.
