I think 99.99999% of people who vote are misguided, uninformed, mislead, or just plain bored. Our votes do not nor have they EVER mattered. I'm pretty sure that most people who vote don't even know how primaries/caucuses (let alone the GE/electoral college) work.
ALL politicians are full of it. By nature, political campaigns running for any office become nothing more than some grandiose BS marketing scheme that's doing nothing but seeking mass appeal with respect to the current political climate. It's all a ruse. They're all bought/sold by big business. Like George Carlin said,
"Forget the politicians, they're irrelevant. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls.......It's a big club, and you ain’t in it! You, and I, are not in the big club."
So when I say Trump (or Hillary) is full of chit/terrible/stupid/(insert derogatory remark)...that shouldn't mean I support/advocate the opppsite political aisle.
