The Hill interviewed nearly a dozen prominent Democrats to find out who has captured the party’s attention in recent months and who has fallen out of favor.
In case you don't feel like clicking:
1. Bernie
2. Biden
3. Fauxcohontas
4. Kamala Harris
5. Sherrod Brown
6. Deval Patrick

1. Senator Elizabeth Warren
2. VP Biden
3. Senator Kamala Harris
4. Senator Cory Booker
5. Senator Kirstin Gillibrand
6. Senator Sherrod Brown
7. Governor Deval Patrick
8. Billionaire Tom Steyer
9. Senator Bernie Sanders
10. Secretary Julian Castro
I think the primary field will be immense. Note that Booker might need to decide between a slam dunk reelection to the Senate and a run for the Presidency.
Progressive field
Sanders, Harris, Steyer, Warren, Brown - I think Warren takes all the wind out Sanders' sails.
Moderate field
Patrick, Castro, Biden, Gillibrand, Booker

Oddlly enough, I think the progressives dump Bernie. It seems to me that Steyer is really making some strong moves right now. I think he runs, and he's precisely the kind of candidate that can do well in an Iowa caucus. The big question for a white progressive candidate is this...can you actually win the votes of African American and Hispanic voters, who sometimes back more moderate candidates or the one seen as more electable? If Kamela Harris gets out of Iowa and New Hampshire intact, she'd be formidable going forward.
The moderates are an interesting bunch. I'm thinking that Booker or Gillibrand are the more likely ones to move forward.
