So these six got mentioned:
Quote:1. Bernie Sanders
2. Joe Biden
3. Elizabeth Warren
4. Kamala Harris
5. Sherrod Brown
6. Deval Patrick
If everything falls apart and goes to hell (and I readily admit that could happen), then yes any of the above-six could win. Other than that, though, Trump would simply stomp them. What stands out to me is that 5 of the 6 have basically Zero in the way of executive experience. Used to be, that would've been considered a huge negative. But maybe Obama and Trump have proven that voters just don’t care about that anymore.
IMHO, the Dems’ basic problem is, they still haven’t really come to terms with Hillary! losing a year ago. They may not have been all that crazy about her, but they were convinced she would win, and so they would be With Her until 2024 (a gruesome thought). At which point, they could figure out what they wanted to say to the next generation.
But then she lost, and so the planning/strategizing and jockeying-for-position has had to be suddenly bumped up by 4 years, all while dealing with the shock/horror of “President Trump” at the same time. It’s an awkward process.
By the way, US Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (NY) is also currently testing the waters. Some strengths that the others lack, but she’s never played on the national level before. Also, US Sen. Cory Booker will take a shot at it, sooner or later. Whether he’ll do it this time or wait, is unclear for now.
