Thing, is they do look at SOS. You have to, and while ot is great to be unbeaten, neither USF or UCF has beaten anyone worth mentioning.
LOL! You just got done talking about Memphis getting into the atop 25 and now you claim UCF hasn’t beat anyone? Don’t lump us in with USFs schedule.
Maryland WAS good when we beat them, Memphis is 5-1, FIU is 5-2.
Actually for that reason, UCF should certainly be the higher ranked team
What? I was explaining why Memphis won't be in today's top 25.
As for UCF vs USF, i agree that as weak as UCF's schedule is, it is tougher than USF's so i agree UCF should be ranked higher.
But the idea that Maryland was better when UCF played them is absurd.
To me it’s a moot point not worth my time.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we are both undefeated and UCF is higher in the CFP because they would have played better teams.
Won’t matter who is ahead in that poll what will matter is who wins that game on Black Friday

Yep, we won't have to worry about our SOS vs UCF's, we will settle it on the field.
Still, in the meantime, it's fun to discuss these kinds of things

To me, this is wishful fanboy thinking. Looking at the AP poll the only teams ranked lower than #15 that lost were #19 SDSU, #24 Texas Tech and #25 Navy.
Now last week Memphis was behind West Virginia, LSU, and Texas AM in the 'others receiving votes' category. WVU beat #24 Texas Tech, Texas AM beat Florida, and LSU beat #10 Auburn. We could do the same thing for the Coaches poll, so how does Memphis get in? Doesn't compute.
Btw, UCLA, Memphis's 'big' OOC win, lost again yesterday.
So, who are you really a fan of? Rutgers? Louisville? Someone else? Every post is how this conference just isnt good enough. . . Wait your fanhood's aka arent you?
For the record memphis snuck in just like I said. But keep it up and soon you'll be just as popular as your alternate name.

I think USF could get to number 12 in the coaches with UCF shooting to top 15. Memphis might sneak in at 25.
Do you agree.
Looks like I was close with my predictions, except for UCF. I fully expected UCF to jump more than 1 or 2 spots. Surprised there.

Not only did Memphis make #25 in the AP, they made #23 in Espn's power ranking.

LOL ... you were right, Memphis did sneak in to one poll, as illogical as it is. But bottom line is you were right, i was wrong.
That said, it's pretty funny reading a noob who joined the forum eight months ago tell a 20,000 post vet like myself about the norms and wherefores of this forum - hilarious.
FWIW, i support what is good for USF, period, and am not here to brownnose or win popularity contests, i call it as i see it. E.g., i am looking forward to driving down to Yulman this Saturday to watch us neuter the Green Wave.

USF is only ranked do to preseason hype and a ridiculously easy schedule. Can’t wait till a team with some life in them exposes the imposters. One top 25 team that doesn’t deserve it

Not by us. Even though we have been AAC members together for four years, to say nothing of 14 years together in the old Metro Conference and C-USA, we have never played Tulane in football anywhere.
