The entrance to the stadium will remain an ugly cement wall, but there are grater tragedies.

Thank auto-correct for partisan (improved from parmesan, it seems)

Didn't the rendering have a giant owl across the entire window? I was hoping that wasn't just a graphics detail.

Yes, but it's really hard to tell sometimes if I'm really seeing an Owl head there, or if it's on the inside or just a bunch of stuff piled up in a big ball. If it is the graphic on the windows depicted in the renderings, then why only the head so far and not going all the way across with the wing? Anyone who has been there recently have a better picture than the webcam or can tell us?

Also, when Tiki posted his picture from field-level a few pages ago, the building looks a lot smaller than it does in the webcam view. No big deal, but from the renderings, it seemed it was going to be a larger facility size-wise. Anyone know if it is being constructed in such a way that it might be expanded in the future?

It's pretty big when you look at it in person. It just doesn't fill up the giant space between the two sides of the field and I'm not sure what you would even do with that space. The only reason the end zone would ever need to be filled again would be for seats and we could always just close the south end if that was ever a problem. I think if we wanted to add more room onto it we would have to go back towards the practice fields. They've now put insulation and windows around the whole building btw. Exterior is pretty close to complete.

I'm not sure what the exact size of the EZF is vis a vis the renderings, but when I saw it 3 months ago during football season, I was impressed with how HUGE it seems. Visually, it seems to fill up the whole north side of the stadium.

Agree; it's a damn big facility. I was surprised when I drove by earlier this week. It looks much bigger in person than the renderings we've seen.

Also agree that there are a lot of possibilities for the south end zone. Tear out the locker and training rooms, but keep the infrastructure intact for future fan considerations.

The two-story EZF is designed to encompass 60,000 square feet of floor space.

Thanks for all the info on it. I'm not complaining here, just making the observation that when pulled back from the tighter webcam shot, it looked smaller than I thought it would. Since I'm no longer local, no other way for me to really tell. I'm sure it will be quite a big improvement over what we have now, and hopefully we will maintain it well and it can check off another item on our list of stuff to get done for the program.

Looking forward to the video screen coming soon. Any more word on that? I remember someone posted a test between competing screen sections a while back. Do we know which one was decided on, and will it affect baseball any as well?

How about when it's finished someone here organize a "Parliament" tour of the facility? I don't have the connections. We can all go out to a Chinese buffet afterwards or something

Looks like someone took out one of the windows, in the section second from the right.
The night views are interesting, where you can see through the glass to the lighted interior.

Maybe Boswell was practicing his 50 yard field goals and was a little wide right.

Lots of activity right now. It looks like a Bobcat is cleaning a lot of dirt from under the ramp. Maybe they're about to conceal the piers.

They're also digging the second part of the ramp that leads to the field. They need to get some grass down soon.

It looks like the secondary ramp is going to reach all the way to the northwest corner of the endzone.

For those of you who have to rely solely on the webcam, here's a side view as of this morning.
