Cornyn would have won it for a few hundred million less, this is a self inflicted wound.

Really bad signs for the Republicans in 2028. If Dems can win statewide elections in Texas, Georgia and South Carolina, the Republicans are going to have to be spending and working everywhere. The Democrats will have more easy electoral votes where they don't have to work.

Figure, barring just awful candidates on either side, it starts out 196-146 Democrat. Democrats will only have to work for 30 of the votes (NE-1, MN-10, VA-13, NH-4, ME-2 of 4, although NM and NJ were kind of close last time) they won last time while the Republicans will have to work for 166. Republicans will need to win 124 of those 196 contested.

Trump's lousy candidates for Senate brought down the whole ticket in Texas, Georgia and South Carolna.

Republicans just need to do a better job with their candidates. We can't elect any red dog. Democrats will vote for any blue dog-see Keish Lance Bottoms. They wouldn't even vote for her for mayor.

Life will go on. I’m not going to wring my hands over D or R wins or losses anymore. All of the Armageddon fears over the wrong candidates winning are overblown. It truly is a uniparty, and for the vast majority of us nothing changes.

and you're surprised? (ALL WHILE YOU CONTROL BOTH HOUSE/SENATE AND A FRIENDLY SUPREME COURT!)
You aren't wrong on most of this. I'll be glad to see this idiot out of office. Hopefully the GOP can get their **** together. The fact that other conservatives can't wrap their minds around it is very telling.

Agreed!

Remarkable it took this long but agreed. An amazing night for both parties in that degree. Also first openly gay senator (LG doesn't count lol)

Yeah, because men having sex with men is such an important barrier that needed to fall. 01-wingedeagle

Yep, nothing will happen in America over the next two years. There will be investigations aimed at tarnishing the Republicans' image, the White House will probably veto any crazy policies, and then 2028 will roll around. At least that's how it seems to me.

I was thinking the same damn thing. And guess what I did today? I saw the most awesome thing. The Grand Canyon.

The only thing that rivals it is Yellowstone.
