An aside, I have long maintained the terrorists made a grave error in picking NYC and Washington DC for their attacks. Had they choose conservative areas (say Knoxville and Midland, TX), there is no way Obama and other Dem's would have pursued bin Laden and al Qaeda to the ends of the earth.

The flip side of that coin is true as well. Nothing is absolute.

I worked in Engineering for over 3 decades and encountered several not so bright engineers as well as quite a few very sharp ones.
