Advil

Or Motrin. Exactly what I found when I asked the question of Google. Ibuprofen.

My wife would never take medicines like Tylenol during pregnancy, even if she had a fever or headache. She just slept it off and drank a lot of water. Amazed she was able to do that.

Yep. I made that switch decades ago. The info that Tylenol is not good for us goes way way back.

Ibuprofen or aspirin is the only stuff that takes an edge off for me.

But headaches? Water is the go-to.

They will need to provide overwhelming proof soon if they want to convince people.

I’d like to see this evidence.

This is huge, if true. Yes, I'm somewhat skeptical, but due to the fact all sorts of doctors and pharmaceutical spokespeople are saying otherwise, it makes me want to believe it. I mean let's face it; a lot of doctors have been bought and paid for by Big Pharma.

But until the administration releases tangible evidence on this, I reserve the right to remain skeptical. Everybody should, really.

Here's an interview with a researcher who is taking it seriously and looking into it, so I do think this is something that needs to be seriously researched further, but just saying take NSAID's is dumb dumb stuff.

Those studies were done by my post man, my lawn guy, and Mrs Higgs' second grade class ... not actual medical doctors, researchers, and scientists ... right, got it.

Quote:Acetaminophen exposure during pregnancy is not linked to the risk of developing autism, ADHD, or intellectual disability, according to a new study of data from more than 2 million children in Sweden. There is a danger to the baby if the mother doesn’t treat a high fever.

This is big stakes. The burden of proof is on the administration to concisely prove this theory.

I don’t discredit RFK’s passion to digging deep and trying to reduce the rates, but he’s also not a doctor, so what makes him more credentialed than a doctor?

It's amazing how the Left blows up EVERYTHING Trump does. All they said is for Pregnant women should start consulting with their doctors before taking Tylenol "Willy Nilly". That is it. They didn't say "Don't take it". They are just letting the public know what they are finding during studies. They also want doctors to be aware of its use with their patients. Pretty simple stuff. Basically, it should only be taken during a high fever anyways. They also stated if the patient has a high fever there is a reason and that reason should be treated. Low grade fevers are the body's natural way of fighting infection. No Tylenol should be taken then. If the doctor says, "take it anytime you want", then the consequences are on the doctor.

Dude, don't rell me what to google. Do your own research.

All I did was ask the question, word for word, posed directly above my response: "What should I use to substitute Tylenol?"

End of story...sorry you don't like the answer, but I don't give a dipsy doodle.

The one think I know as a fact...

1. the mother of my autistic grandchild ate tylenol and was never without it being in her reach while carrying him. Bottle beside the bed. A bottle on her if she left the house. A bottle in the kitchen.

2. everything changed after he took the MMR at age 1. Up to that point he was saying words, and your basic 1 year old. With in a very short amount of time he was nonverbal and things he learned to do he had to relearn them over and over. His whole temperament changed.

Those are the 100% facts with my now 7 year old grandson and while he's overcame some of it....says words but not sentences. Way ahead of his class in math even if he is running a year or 2 behind others his age in other things.

Did he get Autism because of one or both of those? I dont know, but something has changed other than Autism just being diagnosed. Personally at this point I dont care how or the why other than something needs to be done to find out why 1 in 24 school age children will have Autism at some level.

You have selective hearing.

Quote:"I want to say it like it is, don't take Tylenol. Don't take it," trump said. "Other things that we recommend, or certainly I do anyway, is ... don't let them pump your baby up with the largest pile of stuff you've ever seen in your life," he said, referring to vaccines.
rump links autism to Tylenol and vaccines, claims not backed by science

He then went on to ignorantly claim that Hep-B is not a risk to babies because it's sexually transmitted.

Trump literally said "Don't take it", though.

I'd like to see these studies, because correlation doesn't always mean causation. If the science is there, then fine. But right now I have a hard time believing acetaminophen causes autism.

IMO, it seems like the reason why we're seeing higher rates of autism now is because we're better at recognizing and diagnosing it than we were 30 or 50 years ago.

They will never be able to convince me its not purposeful on some level. When us Boomers and Xers are finally all gone, the populous will be much, much easier to herd and control in whatever direction they are told.

The place will be filled with people like the 2 posters above.

While of course not knowing your anecdotal story, but from what I've read, Tylenol needs to be taken exactly as doctors describe during pregnancy. Your words make it seem like she didn't do that.

Untreated high fever also has consequences for the baby, so it’s important to get this right. This isn’t like them suggesting to change dieting or removing food coloring. There is a potential cost to not getting this right.

I’m not even saying he’s 100% wrong here. But I also don’t blame people for pushing back or demanding evidence versus saying generic stuff like “don’t take it, it’s bad,” or “we don’t see many 70 year olds with autism”
