His college is an ag school in a conservative state - not a bastion of "liberal thought" that "brainwashed" him.

Public universities in conservative states are overrun with left-leaning professors and administrations.

Every university in TN has had to drop DEI programs now that they face funding cuts. Why did they have those programs in the 1st place? Because universities are a bastion of liberalism.

I told my daughter to watch out for her psychology teacher when she started at the UofM. After a few weeks she laughed and told me she really needed to watch out for her English professor. The guy overtly pushed his dogma in class.

I hate you’re so blind to partisanship that you can’t see the issue of disenfranchised young males and the challenge social media presents in trying to raise them. This is not a partisan political issue. Its a parenting issue and these kids spend more time on their phones than they do connecting with others; and there are just as many examples of those co-opted by right wing hate as there are on the left… likely more.

I could not agree more. Anyone who has been on Reddit can tell you it is full of hate and misinformation. However I do have to note Reddit leans far to the left.

For once, I'll say you're right, at least about some things in your post. Social media does play a big role in stuff like this.

Where I disagree is per the presser. They pretty much said the suspect hated what Charlie Kirk stood for. And the carvings into the bullets they found confirm that. (And what Eagleaidaholic said, too.)

I’m not saying he wasn’t influenced by leftist extremism… obviously, he was; yet I’m also stating this disenfranchisement is not bound by ideology and access to hate is far too easy to access. I think this generation of 20 somethings is the 1st to have a phone in the hands since their preteen years; and their interaction with social media far exceeds their activity with other people, and it is obviously an societal issue for young, impressionable males.

Many of Gen Z age are speaking out against the left and are returning to the church. They aren't succumbing to the hate that the left spews 24/7. These kids know how to think for themselves and aren't sensitive to peer pressure. I know this from personal experience. They are ambitious and want to realize their part of the American dream and they see capitalism and conservatism as vehicles to achieve their dreams.
