For once, I'll say you're right, at least about some things in your post. Social media does play a big role in stuff like this.

Where I disagree is per the presser. They pretty much said the suspect hated what Charlie Kirk stood for. And the carvings into the bullets they found confirm that. (And what Eagleaidaholic said, too.)

I feel terrible for Charlie Kirk and his family.

I also feel bad for people who don’t recognize the damage that liberal narratives project on people gullible enough to believe those narratives.

Additionally I feel bad for the victims of the selective racism of the left and the fact that they are arrogant enough to play the race card but choose to ignore the race who, percentage wise, is inflicting the most crime on the most people in this country.

I hate you’re so blind to partisanship that you can’t see the issue of disenfranchised young males and the challenge social media presents in trying to raise them. This is not a partisan political issue. Its a parenting issue and these kids spend more time on their phones than they do connecting with others; and there are just as many examples of those co-opted by right wing hate as there are on the left… likely more.

Governor talking about where they go from here. Says they are so invested in this, as opposed to all the other murders and crime going on, b/c Kirk's political assassination is a specific attack on American ideals.

Such acts shut down people from discussing differences and resolving them. That's why this murder matters so much. Says he has never been so angry and sad. Says Charlie's words brought him back.

Young people were passionate about Charlie, love him or hate him. Charlie said when people stop talking, that's when you have violence. Always forgive your enemies. Nothing disarms them so much.

One of the bullet casings said "Notice bulges..." so yeah, that's making fun of Kirk for being anti-trans.

The guy is definitely on the Left and was made "angry" by what he hears and reads from the Left. Nothing has changed. As the Governor has said, "No riots, no looting, but instead prayers". You are on the wrong side; the side of anger and hate. Face it.

Social media is a huge problem, you are correct there, but how can you not recognize the that the majority of this violence comes overwhelmingly from one side? It is irrefutably a liberal in the majority of these cases. So why do liberal youths (and adults) appear to be driven to violence far more often than conservatives by social media influence?

I’m not saying he wasn’t influenced by leftist extremism… obviously, he was; yet I’m also stating this disenfranchisement is not bound by ideology and access to hate is far too easy to access. I think this generation of 20 somethings is the 1st to have a phone in the hands since their preteen years; and their interaction with social media far exceeds their activity with other people, and it is obviously an societal issue for young, impressionable males.

Gov confirmed the reported sayings were carved on the casings. He mentioned "Catch fascists" specifically.

They do not anticipate any further arrests, but the investigation is ongoing.

Gun was found earlier, but didn't give more details.

It's mind boggling how the shooters in these incidents attempt to justify it by saying the person they shot spewed hate. And those that support the shooter say the same thing.

Look in the mirror.

Gov calls this incident a watershed in American history, but not sure if it's the beginning or the end. Reminds him of the 1960s, when we lost the Kennedys and King.

Gov says this is not good for us to consume. Social media is a cancer on our lives. He's getting a bit wound up.

I wish the gov would shut up and let the LEOs answer the questions.
