Yep.
- Gabalis goes completely blind when his first read is covered.

- The one time we needed Whitten to be conservative to wear down the defense and run out the clock, he g\oes all Air Raid and gives the game away.
Puzzled me as well. It then seemed like our running game worn down your defense. I was also surprised on the last drive that once you were across midfield and still had three timeouts and more than a minute and a half you didn't feed Britton more than once.
We don't have much of a passing game at the moment with lots of injuries to the receiving corps. Last time we opened up a bit passing the QB threw 3 picks against ACU. So we are down to running the ball and playing defense.

BS, your idiocy is beyond stupid. Tarleton lost a tough game like all of us have. Get over yourself. EKU will never be a pushover.
Not under or over myself.
Am, however, incredibly knowledgeable about FCS football and realignment compared to 90% of this board.
How is it idiocy if its been proven correct? UIW and Montana, with two FCS losses respectively, were selected before (undefeated v. FCS) Tarleton State. And tonight’s results back that up and validate it.
Anyone with limited football knowledge can tell that Tarleton is an average FCS squad—at best—that would be trounced by most legit playoff teams.
Since, we want to talk about FCS knowledge let's talk about the 60 years of mediocrity Sam had before Fritz and Keeler arrived as well as Sam's history in the playoffs. In case you have forgotten I have included some games since you may have forgotten.
2013 L to Southeastern Louisiana 30-29 in the SECOND ROUND
2014 L to NDSU 35-3
2015 L to Jacksonville State 62-10
2016 L to James Madison 65-7
2017 L to NDSU 53-13
2018-2019 Didn't make Playoffs
2021 L to Montana State 42-19
Looks like to me the only team that has been trounced has been Sam Houston.
We are a whole 16-2 against Tarleton State all time, so if that’s mediocrity I’m pretty sure I know what your school is…
Convenient you mention the round of elimination against Southeastern Louisiana, but not the others. Also, you skipped a year it looks like. Over the past 20 years, SHSU is second to only the Bison in FCS Playoff wins.
The run of competitiveness you list is the reason we’re rising in the FBS, while our longtime peers like Lamar, SFA, McNeese, etc. are left behind to deal with the deteriorating FCS, devoid of nearly all its powers, watered down by no-name D2 callups ie: Dixie State and Tarleton State.

Congratulations to Eastern Kentucky on the big win. Many CUSA fans are in agreement; if there were a school worthy of a potential spot #12 in replacement of UTEP, it’d be the Colonels.

EKU came in with the perfect game plan of pressing our WRs at the line of scrimmage and forcing our QB to make decisions. All we really know how to do is run up the middle, or hit our first option pass play. When you force our QB actually read a defense and check down to his 2nd or 3rd option, we're doomed. He either takes the sack, or throws a pick. Never throws it away. He threw 2 INTs, with one essentially being a Pick-6, and then we became one dimensional. But, for whatever reason, we didn't do as we normally do and run the ball, we decided to double-down on all of the sudden becoming a pass-happy Air Raid offense. It was a really weird game for us, but mostly because EKU forced it to be weird. Hats off to you guys exposing and taking advantage of our flaws. Hopefully it will help us diversify on offense and get our butts in gear for the final stretch.

EKU's " big bag of nothing" bagged us a win. Whoaa doggies, Go Big E!
