We just aren’t good enough to play a full 60 minutes and tonight it cost us the game.
Congrats to EKU for never giving up.

Wild!
The parity in the UAC, along with the any given ___ reality, always keeps it interesting.

Wow. Tarleton is terrible. No wonder they were behind UIW and Montana. Have a feeling they will lose to UCA and ACU and miss the playoffs altogether!

BS, your idiocy is beyond stupid. Tarleton lost a tough game like all of us have. Get over yourself. EKU will never be a pushover.

I sit up high. We had guys running free all over the field. Probably couldn’t see that on tv. Whitten has two run plays and two pass plays. EKU took away the run, and we threw bomb after bomb instead of the 10-15 yard play. Yes we dropped balls. But there were lots more higher % throws open. This is why Whitten has a ceiling. And that ceiling will never have playoff runs.
My 8-4 prediction is still alive!

Not under or over myself.
Am, however, incredibly knowledgeable about FCS football and realignment compared to 90% of this board.
How is it idiocy if its been proven correct? UIW and Montana, with two FCS losses respectively, were selected before (undefeated v. FCS) Tarleton State. And tonight’s results back that up and validate it.
Anyone with limited football knowledge can tell that Tarleton is an average FCS squad—at best—that would be trounced by most legit playoff teams.

Your knowledge isn't the issue. Also, anyone with "limited football knowledge" knows that Tarleton is beyond average. How good are they against the top FCS? That is still up for debate, but they have proven to hang with both average and better than average FCS. Tonight was their first loss to an FCS team in a while and EKU themselves is a very decent team, even in a down year. Your stupid obsession with TSU is just that.

The poster has TDS, Tarleton Derangement Syndrome. They realize their school is about to be passed in the Texas Public University pecking order and they are not handing it well. My suggestion would be therapy to assist with coming to terms with their inferiority issues.

Not bad, but we’ll hear about it from certain fan bases. Opening weekend alone would cut it 12k. It’s a heavy mist in the seats right now, which may be as bad as it gets. Shame on you TexanFan! My wife said “pass”, but I gave her ticket to a family of 5 at the window. Saved them a little bit I guess.
Reported “attendance” of 15,000. That legit?

Congrats to EKU on the win. I agree with the assessment on Whitten. This is why we need to cut him loose and hire Briles. I think the championionship and possibly only playoff spot we be decided when ACU visits the ville. I hope we both make it to the post season, but neither one of us can afford another slip up, perhaps even against each other.

Regardless of how Tarleton does across athletics. As Tarleton alumnus, it's nice to know that Tarleton lives rent free in your head.

Since, we want to talk about FCS knowledge let's talk about the 60 years of mediocrity Sam had before Fritz and Keeler arrived as well as Sam's history in the playoffs. In case you have forgotten I have included some games since you may have forgotten.
2013 L to Southeastern Louisiana 30-29 in the SECOND ROUND
2014 L to NDSU 35-3
2015 L to Jacksonville State 62-10
2016 L to James Madison 65-7
2017 L to NDSU 53-13
2018-2019 Didn't make Playoffs
2021 L to Montana State 42-19
Looks like to me the only team that has been trounced has been Sam Houston.

I hope that both ACU & Tarleton make it. When ACU comes to town in a couple weeks, it will be the OK Corral (no perceived good guys or bad guys intended) all over again. That game deserves TV coverage...
