See Sodom and Gomarrah and what happened to them because of same sex appetites. God tells us to NOT tolarate anything against his laws and commandments. He tells us that we as males are to love and marry females, and be fruitful and multiply. Our leaders and citizens trying to eliminate God from our society will be the downfall of our country. God didn't approve of what happened blacks in this country, and i am not sure why you would even bring that up. However, God does abhore same sex love and marriage. Totally apples and oranges.
And this is according to the Bible, right? Don't we have freedom of religion in this country? What if somebody's religion doesn't see things the same way?
From my experience, most Christians I have encountered don't care about freedom of religion in this country. Most I have encountered only worry about the freedom of shoving Christianity down others' throats.
Christians or Christianity can't be shoved down anyone's throat, because a person must freely accept that Christ is their Savior. It looks like you don't believe and I am sorry for you that you don't. The Lord didn't die for everyone, or it would have been in vain, just those who will and eventually will accept him as their savior. It is not too late for you.
What about those that are born in areas of the world where Christianity is not a realistic option. Billions of people are born into places where they'll never get to hear the story of Jesus.
Are they going to hell just because they didn't win the geographic lottery like you did?
A kind and loving and just god is going to send 2/3 of the world to hell because they were born into areas of the world that didn't give them the opportunity to be a part of his religion?
You are a christian because you were born into a nation where christianity is the norm. If you were born in India or Pakistan, you would not be a christian. You are a product of your environment. That is all.

I'm as a liberal as I can be. I don't criticize or judge people because they think different or don't share the same opinion as I do. All the liberals I know (and trust me I know tons) share the same values I do.
History will not be kind to the likes of Mike Wallace. Just like history is not kind to the people who opposed Civil Rights or interracial marriage. Society will evolve on this subject, maybe the likes of Mike Wallace will change their minds just like Dr. Laura, Bill O'Reilly and even Tim Hardaway. That's all I have to say.

No, I am a product of Of God who created man from one man and woman, many have rejected God and Christ, and it will be on their own decision that they will be condemned. Those who believe as you do are not believers on a sovereign God who is omnipresent in all the world and his creation. Christ tells us in the Great Commission to go into all the world and spread the good news of him. You have the right to reject him, and many have. Those will beg for a drop of water to soothe the terrible damnation of hellfire in the end. No one is perfect by any means, that is why we need the Savior. It does break my hearts that there are so many that reject him, and I pray that all will hear and accept him in the end.

You didn't answer my question. What about those that were born into an area where they were never given the choice to accept him?
What about those that still grow up living in a jungle without access to the modern world?
God is cool with them being condemned to hell just because of where they were born? Sounds like a real bastard to me.

Apples and oranges. Are you really comparing a group that is trying to have the nation recognize their sexual orientation to a people that were taken in warfare; purchased on distant shores; transported against their will to a land where they were enslaved and stripped of all human rights, and then they were later forced to fight for a country that didn't even allow them to vote much less recognize them as human beings?
Acually I would equate the current movement to feminism. Because in feminism some women were better off financially, educationally, etc., etc. than men.

Ironic isn't it? It's ok to express just about anything but an opinion against.

I'm comparing the similarities in people being against blacks voting or attending the same schools as whites. History is not being kind to those who opposed those measures. Time will not be kind to those who now are against gay marriage or who think being gay is a disease.
And women still have barriers today. Otherwise the disparity in what men and women earn wouldn't exist today.

Well its time for me to weigh in.....
No one should get "special rights" and "privileges" simply because they are married. No one ! That means no break on your taxes, health insurance, favorable interest rates, inheritance tax benefits, etc).
In fact, working single people without children should be the ones receiving tax breaks if anyone should. They put less economic burden on society as a whole yet they are the one who dont get the breaks.

Time will definitely be kind to those that want to follow and do what God wants them to do. All will in the end bow down to God whether they want to or not. After that day when Christ comes again the chaff will be separated from the grain.

Actually, that's a common myth. Women make virtually the same today as men when comparing the same job, the same experience, the same education, etc. The numbers thrown around by women's groups our skewed because they need the gap to remain in existence in order to further their agenda. Much like most special interest groups need for data/perception/etc. to exist in their favor to further their agendas. The common number thrown around is that women make about 70 cents on the dollar what men make. If you factor in years of experience, education, etc. the number is virtually the same....maybe a few cents difference.

So people in North Korea or Iran will go to hell because they never had the chance to hear the Gospel? So you're doomed at birth just because you weren't born in a Christian country? Why would God do that? What's the point?
So basically somebody who was born in the Soviet Union in 1950 and died in 1990 went to hell because in Soviet times religion was discouraged and only the Soviet ideology from the state was allowed and never got the chance to attend church or hear the gospel. Once again, why would God do that to somebody who never had the chance in the first place?
I believe in a God who is loving, merciful and kind. Not in a selfish and hateful God who picks sides and punishes you for no reason.

I'm no theology expert but my recollection is that many Christian groups believe that God will judge those folks (people who never received the official message of Jesus Christ) based on their hearts and actions..their works.

If you factor in years of experience, education, etc. the number is virtually the same....maybe a few cents difference.
Then how come I make more money than my female counterparts? Same education, same experience, same industry, same company. We men have it easy after all it's still a man's world. I've seen firsthand how hard it's for women to climb the corporate ladder. How patronizing some men are when even talking to women. And don't get me started if she's attractive. It's like I'm watching a live episode of Mad Men.
