I think the Coach of the Year is voted on by other coaches. Pastner spent the entire year talking about how every coach he faced was a great coach and had a great team no matter the opponent. Today he was awarded for that praise.

Pastner has taken soooooo much heat from everyone including your fan base. He has these guys clicking their heels to go where they want and Kansas isn't an option. He worked under pressure and achieved. He earned it.

There has really been some good coaching this year in CUSA that will go unnoticed by a majority of the country....that part really sucks.

Josh was not appointed CoY he was "voted" CoY. It's a tribute to the kids he recruits, the games they win, the 16-0 record, the program he as built, the respect he has earned, the rankings they fought for, the quality of coaching he has demonstrated and by soundly beating a very good coach and team for S. Miss twice.

egrizzard gave you some good advice regarding "I know more than you."

Credibility and respect is developed over time and by rational discussion, not just saying you know more.

Ratchet back the aggression to make your point.

Everyone respects what Donnie Tyndall did this year and I think most would have understood him being COY, just like most understand Josh had good reasons to be selected also. Even as a Tiger fan, I struggled with who should get the nod.

Tyndall didn't get hosed, he came in (what had to be) a close second in the selection between 2 coaches who had really, really good years.

Back off and relax the emotions, you'll be much better off.

Guys, the wise thing is to let this lie. Two deserving coaches were under consideration, the one who had a perfect record in conference won it. Very deserved, as it would have been if Tyndall had won it. Let's move along, the games have started.
