Curtis...you see any new info on this? I saw a rumor of this a couple weeks ago.

UCF was waiting until the Big East schedule was settled. There was a thought they may go to 9 conference games at 10 teams.

The eight-game Big East schedule allows conference members to keep their four-game out-of-conference schedule intact for the coming seasons. That’s an important note for UCF, which is looking to upgrade its own out-of-conference slate.

The Knights are currently scheduled to play home games against South Carolina, Akron and Bethune-Cookman and at FIU. The school is in talks, however, with three ACC programs and has been in touch with Big 12 and Big Ten schools about their interest in upgrading the schedule, according to an administrative source.

Those talks are expected to accelerate in the next week or two as UCF looks to finalize its 2013 schedule.

looks like UCF is playing PSU in 2013 & 2014.

Here's what FBschedules.com has to say about this:

Penn State was scheduled to host Virginia on Sept. 14, 2013, so that game will obviously be moved to a different date or season. The Nittany Lions traveled to Virginia last season in the first game of the home-and-home series, so it’s not likely that the game will be canceled unless the Cavaliers buy out the contract.

Wish it could've been us. Sept. 14 was the one OOC game we need to keep and can't control the date when it's not played in Louisville.

Tulane is visiting Syracuse on 9/21. Assistant AD Herm Frazier (I can't believe that incompentant fool works at SU when he bungled just about everything at Hawai'i) says that 9/14 will be the other non-conference home game unless the ACC schedule has SU playing another ACC team that date.

florida state @ either bc or wake forest.(id lean wake forest as bc plays at usc the following week so they could have requested a bye before or home game vs lesser opponent wake forest. kinda like how syracuse on 9/14 requested a home game if playing an acc team that week

Odd, but true... other teams' OOC games basically force Pitt @ GT and FSU @ BC on 9/7. While I'm sure FSU would rather get the trip to BC done while the weather is still decent in Boston, it's too bad that these couldn't work out as cross-divisional games (but BC doesn't plays neither GT nor Pitt this year). At least we know who'll be on the ACC Network that weekend...

would wake forest be on a bye then because someone has to play non conference on 11/23 since 3 acc teams are already playing out of conference that week before there sec games
