#2 ACC team will probably then play a #2 B12 team, Texas or Oklahoma.

Try again.....if the B12 champ is in the play-offs, the #2 team will be in the Championship Bowl. Orange Bowl would get a #3 team at best or the Big East Champ.

Huge assumption that the B12 champ is in the Playoff.

That Orange Bowl opponent is going to be the sloppy seconds of the major bowls who stand before it in the pecking order.

Even if the B12 champ does not make the playoffs (which history would demonstrate is very unlikely), the Orange Bowl selection would be a B12 school who did not get selected for the Championship Bowl (therefore a lower ranked school). The same is true if they select a B10 school who was not good enough for the Rose or an SEC school not good enough for the Championship Bowl. Sloppy seconds in all scenarios.

If the SEC, B12, PAC are so powerful, by default the ROSE and Consolation Bowl get sloppy seconds.

BTW, don't blame WVU for FSU's miserable schedule. The reason WVU bolted The BEast the way they did - breaking the contract with FSU as a result of the move - is because the ACC invited Pitt and Syracuse, effectively destroying every rivalry of significance WVU had. Also, FSU plays every dog in the ACC this year. So FSU can lay the responsibility for their lousy schedule on the doorstep of the conference offices...

The computers are going to destroy FSU this season I think. Unless Florida and USF are way better than one would think.

HOLD IT. The SEC teams get a bump in their strength for playing Florida, why not FSU?

Well 2 things-
1- Alabama doesn't even play Florida. So, if Florida is down and Alabama is the SEC team- doesn't hurt Alabama at all. If it's LSU- that's another loss that Florida takes, making them even weaker for FSU.
2- There are 7 other conference games.

nope, but ACC doesn't have anyone in conference to compare with Arkansas. Or LSU/Alabama. If say LSU goes 13-0, they could have beaten a 11-1 Alabama team that beat Michigan and a 10-2 Arkansas team. Nothing that ACC can do to match that.

Arkansas the most overrated team last year. Only good teams they played, LSU and Alabama, crushed them.

I'm not just talking OOC, dude. FSU plays...

Murray State (FCS)
Savannah State (FCS)
Wake Forest (meh)
Clemson
@USF
@NC State
BC (dog)
@Miami (woof, woof)
Duke (more barking)
@VT
@Maryland (might as well be Duke since Edsall was hired)
Florida

So looking at FSU's schedule, half the schedule is filled with mediocre football teams - at best. There are some serious questions about 2 or 3 other teams on the Seminoles schedule, if you ask me...

Given the ACC's record in BCS games under the old format, do they mind playing the third or fourth team out of the B1G, SEC or XII?

Assuming that the #1 ACC team makes the playoffs, which most years, is not going to happen. Probably none in the last 10 years.
