Now, not only would they have been guaranteed in, but Baylor or Oklahoma would have had a much better shot of getting in. It's not questionable they are in better shape system wise now than going in. They would have been in the playoffs of the last 6 years 4/6 times. 1 of the 2 times they wouldn't, TCU would have gotten in. With the Champions Bowl not hosting SF much, they would be guaranteed a 2nd team into the BCS.

And when NO B12 team is in the top 4, how will they stand? Oh right, they get to play in the Consolation Bowl vs the #3 SEC team.

Who is the ACC champ going to play in the Orange Bowl when they do not make the play-offs and when ND is unavailable? This should be a concern to Pitt for obvious reasons, but for the rest of the conference....

#2 ACC team will probably then play a #2 B12 team, Texas or Oklahoma.

Try again.....if the B12 champ is in the play-offs, the #2 team will be in the Championship Bowl. Orange Bowl would get a #3 team at best or the Big East Champ.

Huge assumption that the B12 champ is in the Playoff.

FSU doesn't have a tough schedule....
2 FCS schools
USF
Florida
Clemson
Va Tech(which would be the likely loss I think)
Miami
NC St
Duke
BC
Maryland
Wake
ACC title game

That's not a tough schedule quite frankly. If USF and Florida are down- very possible not a single top 25 win on there until avenging the loss to Va Tech in the title game.

BTW, don't blame WVU for FSU's miserable schedule. The reason WVU bolted The BEast the way they did - breaking the contract with FSU as a result of the move - is because the ACC invited Pitt and Syracuse, effectively destroying every rivalry of significance WVU had. Also, FSU plays every dog in the ACC this year. So FSU can lay the responsibility for their lousy schedule on the doorstep of the conference offices...

That's exactly what I'm talking about. These guys are just incredible. They don't want to acknowledge anything that the Big 12 has done. Fact is they are in a lot better spot in this new system than in the old system. It's such a gap it's not even close.

Have YOU checked most SEC teams conference schedule? Conference schedules matter about twice as much as OOC schedules do- as they're twice the games.
Even having said that-
South Carolina-Clemson
Georgia- Georgia Tech
Florida-Florida St
Tennessee- NC State
LSU- Washington
Alabama- Michigan

Who is the ACC champ going to play in the Orange Bowl when they do not make the play-offs and when ND is unavailable? This should be a concern to Pitt for obvious reasons, but for the rest of the conference....

Try again.....if the B12 champ is in the play-offs, the #2 team will be in the Championship Bowl. Orange Bowl would get a #3 team at best or the Big East Champ.

Huge assumption that the B12 champ is in the Playoff.

That Orange Bowl opponent is going to be the sloppy seconds of the major bowls who stand before it in the pecking order.

Even if the B12 champ does not make the playoffs (which history would demonstrate is very unlikely), the Orange Bowl selection would be a B12 school who did not get selected for the Championship Bowl (therefore a lower ranked school). The same is true if they select a B10 school who was not good enough for the Rose or an SEC school not good enough for the Championship Bowl. Sloppy seconds in all scenarios.

Have YOU checked most SEC teams conference schedule? Conference schedules matter about twice as much as OOC schedules do- as they're twice the games.
Even having said that-
South Carolina-Clemson
Georgia- Georgia Tech
Florida-Florida St
Tennessee- NC State
LSU- Washington
Alabama- Michigan

Thants the problem, the SEC East Sucks but nobody cares.
