I haven't spent much time looking at the newcomers bb rankings - only fb. But I'm actually looking forward to UNT, UTSA, UAB, FAU joining. It's the Rice & Charlotte adds that will be anchors on the conference ratings.

Charlotte is top 100

Update this week after UCF loss and Temple win:

NR - AP
NR - Coaches
46 - NET (+13)
36 - KenPom (no change)
27 - Torvik (no change)
47 - Sagarin (-1)
44 - ESPN BPI (+2)
21 - RPI (+5)

11-seed Lunardi (-2)

Last week, the NET - which is the "primary" NCAA selection tool - had us at #59 and Lunardi had us at a 9-seed.
This week, we are up 13 spots in the NET to #46, but Lunardi drops us 2 lines to an 11-seed.
NCAA selection is always a weird animal.

Ah, you are correct. He hasn't updated since Friday morning. He said he was going to do updates 2x per week for the rest of the season. But he hasn't updated since the weekend's games. Goofy.

RE: [RPI Rankings thread]
Researching this, I'm reminded how much I dislike Katz. After getting axed at ESPN, he's landed at the Big Ten Network, and is writing for NCAA.com.

In addition to bracketology, he puts out his own top-36 teams. Memphis, of course, is nowhere to be found. But he has Temple in at #33 this week. He's basically ignoring all metrics that have Temple outside the top 100 and Memphis well within the top 40. He's ignoring that they lost to Wagner, Richmond, Penn, and someone called Maryland-Eastern Shore.

He's totally ranking Temple because they beat Houston. Hey, if transitive property works...We beat Temple. Also Temple lost to Vandy & Old Miss - who we beat.

Temple wasn't even on his bracketology bubble's bubble, before yesterday's win. Now he has them #33.

What a bozo.

You've never heard of the Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawks? Seriously. They're only the powerhouse of the MEAC. Currently tied for first in the Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference with five other teams.

We're at 17 in the RPI.

You can use warrennolan.com to get on the fly updates to the RPI. (The net calculations are done once per day I believe.)

He does have a cool feature called "impact games." These show the games being played that day and how they will impact your rpi if a team wins or loses.

For instance, today we are rooting for Alabama St to win, which will increase our rpi score by about 10 points. Although this will not move us up in rpi, it will move us close to Texas in the 16 spot. There's only 89 points separating us from #12 Houston, and only 130 points away from the top 10 in rpi.

Speaking of the NET. I found an interesting site that shows our NET ranking, including all of the teams we've played, and whether they've gone up or down in the NET themselves. It's all data that's available elsewhere, but the way it's presented makes it very useful, being in a dashboard format.

Mostly yes. Replaced by NET. But I still think some use it for a SOS measurement, which it is probably decent as.
