Hey, just wanted to do a fun off-season thread.

What's the origin of your screen name?

Mine is actually short for Caltex2, my screen name for years on here before I got Georgia Tech Swag to shorten it to C2. In turn Cal is short for California and tex is short for Texas, both states where I was raised.

Since I changed my name, it's kinda evolved (or devolved if you want) to "C-squared" because of the avatar I chose. I suppose either C2 or C-squared is correct, don't really care.

I've been a Marshall fan since 1996.

I was in the 5th grade and my cousins started going to school there. So I became a huge fan and have been ever since.

The Miami fight song. In hindsight I could've been more creative, I probably would've gone with Red Fox (name of my house during senior year).

May 28 is my birthday, which makes me a Gemini. Originally, it was GeminiShamrock because of the fact I'm a Gemini with Irish blood (as in my family came from Ireland). But people were confusing me with being a Notre Dame fan, which I was, to some degree, but not as much as I love the University of Houston. So I asked GTS to change it to GeminiCoog so there would be no more confusion as to where my collegiate allegiance truly lies, and it's been that way ever since. (I still like Notre Dame a little bit, but again, I bleed Scarlet and White, not blue and gold.)

I am originally from Parkersburg, WV born in 1973. My mother was a Marshall alum and dad got transferred to Huntington in 1978, so I basically am a cradle Herd fan. THUNDERStruck is kinda self-explanatory. lol

I started visiting online WKU message boards my freshman season on the Hill (back in 2002). Hence, Freshtop.

Not much to explain here, lol. 05 is the year I graduated high school. The other handle I use for non-sports related activity is Netrunner. Based after the tabletop game that stopped being made a few years ago.

I chose it because IMO, all sports fans are wanderers. We seek satisfaction that is never fully attained. E.g., even if you've been a San Francisco 49ers fan since the Joe Montana years, you've seen your team win 5 times but lose about 35 times. Sports fandom is a punishing road, LOL.

Inu is Japanese for dog. The Tech part tells you which dog (a Louisiana Tech Bulldog).

I was wondering if that's what that was. I spent time in Okinawa
