My first name is Patrick. And the Yankees won 125 games, including the playoffs and World Series, in 1998.
My alternate screen name was modified from TerpfaninNJ. I did my graduate work at Maryland, and moved back to NJ. On another board, my screen name followed the pattern of a troll. When that poster went into full troll mode, at least one other poster wrongly concluded that my screen name was a sock puppet account, despite my posts not resembling the troll’s, never supporting the troll, and even calling out the troll. I asked one of the moderators that after he was satisfied I was not a sock puppet, to change my user name to simply NJTerp.

Ah, the annoyingly ubiquitous Nebraskafaninwi! With no foul language and without a myriad of taunting childish posts, they should have known better. Besides, that board can track IP's as well. They were just giving you a hard time!

Its not a spin off of Chris Rock. Now that I spend so much time in Sarasota, I should change it to something like "SarasotaCuseRoc" Again, not much imagination.
IIRC, you said you were a Dad, so you could be... SarasotaPop!
Not bad. Yes, I am a dad 4 times and a grandad 4 times over. You met my youngest and my wife.

Mine is beginning of last name plus the letter X. My alternate name (not here) is Bport Nole combining both of my alma matters (SUNY Brockport and Florida State).[/align]

Schadenfreude is the pleasure one gets from the misfortune of others. The misfortune I have in mind is opposing teams and their fans when they lose to Bowling Green.
There is a clip on YouTube of Bowling Green going up to the Metrodome in 2007 and beating Minnesota on the final play. Near the end of the clip, as Bowling Green QB Tyler Sheehan walks off the field, arms raised in victory, play-by-play man Todd Walker hollers "How you like that, Falcon fans?"
And that's when video shows this poor young Gopher fan stamping his feet in frustration.
I love that clip.
That's schadenfreude.

Hawaii: Where I grew up and returned to live after a 12-year stint of college, grad school and work on the East Coast.
Mongoose: A nickname I picked up in high school because I was tall and skinny and because it’s an animal you see a lot in Hawaii. Today I’m still kind of tall but a lot less skinny.
I root for UH because it’s the hometown team and because, even though my degrees aren’t from there, I spent time on campus taking summer school courses. Also my wife is a UH graduate.

One of my favorite musical works(wind ensemble/concert band). I like it because it sort of works everywhere, and it's a bit of a Rorschach test for the reader. It's a district of London, so people familiar with England might think it's a reference to that. It's also the name of a famous concert venue from that city, so others might think I'm a fan of classic rock(I'm not particularly). And it kind of sounds like a D&D or fantasy dwarf name, so if I head to those corners of the internet, it works there too. In certain quarters, it might even give the impression I'm into antique blacksmithing. lol

Being that you are from North Dakota, I assumed you were a carpenter/blacksmith :)

Nice! Now I know!
And…c’mon Timmy! Shock the college football world this year! (*except when you play my Dogs) ;P
When I joined NinerNation.net it was to discuss with fellow 49er fans the possibility of adding football. This was the early 2000s and I thought we should have football......now.
Mine is fairly simple. I graduated from Texas State University in 1978 (then Southwest Texas State University). I moved to Southern California in 1979. I grew up as a military brat, living all over the world. I spent my first two years of high school in a small town in Southeast Texas and then my family moved to Naples, Italy, where I finished up school at an American High School in Naples. After college, a bunch of my friends from Italy had settled in Southern California and they talked me into moving there. Most of my family is still in Texas and I frequently go back there for one reason or another.
