USM 5 FIU 3. Just enough hitting to move to 25-8, RPI still #9.

Congrats A-State.

TXST takes the opener at UTA 6-1. TXST pitched very well and UTA played very poor defense.

The Jags take Game 1 from Troy 11-3. Due to poor weather expected on Saturday, we will play the last two games tomorrow. Game one at 2:30 and the other at 7:00.

Yep, Cajuns win, 14-2. So now it’s 31-2. I think that also makes it 25 W’s in a row now.

BOONE, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina baseball team snapped a three-game losing skid in a big way on Thursday night, as the Chanticleers used a nine-run ninth inning in a 14-3 blowout win on the road at Appalachian State in game one of a three-game Sun Belt Conference series in Boone, N.C.

With the win, the Chants moved to 17-13-1 overall and 6-6-1 in league play, while the loss dropped the Mountaineers to 11-20 overall and 3-10 in the Sun Belt.

CCU's offense was led by outfielder Graham Brown (2-for-4, HR, 2B, BB, SF, SAC, 3 RBIs, 4 runs) who scored a career-high four runs and had two great plays in right field, while fellow outfielder Austin White (3-for-4, 2B, 2 BB, 2 RBIs, run, SB) reached base five times in the win.

2 games separating 1st and 6th in the standings nearing the halfway point of conference play. Should be an interesting race.

I love it (except for an RPI hit for us). Widens our lead though.

AState got a win yesterday and a win today, and if they win tomorrow. That’s what they call a winning streak

BOONE, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina baseball team played a complete game on Friday night. The Chanticleers' offense picked up six runs on 10 hits, the pitching allowed just one run and struck out eight, and the defense came up with some key plays in the field to lead the Chanticleers to a 6-1 road win over Appalachian State on Friday night in Boone, N.C.

The win gave the Chants the series win and pushed their record to 18-13-1 overall and 7-6-1 in Sun Belt play. With the loss, the Mountaineers fell to 11-21 overall and 3-11 in league play.

The offense was led by lead-off hitter Austin White (2-for-5, GS, 4 RBIs, run) as he hit his first home run as a Chant, a grand slam in the second inning, to put the Chants in front. The other two RBIs came by way of Graham Brown (1-for-5, RBI), and Nick Lucky (1-for-4, HR, BB, RBI, run), while Christopher Rowan, Jr. (2-for-4, 2 2B, run) had a pair of doubles in the win.

Louisiana blows a 3 run lead in the top of the 9th and loses to ULM 5-7. Some horrible coaching decisions down the stretch by Louisiana…had no business losing that game tonight! Inexcusable!
