Have to wonder if he is successful how long he will remain on the staff before going on to another job.

We had another guy who wanted the job who was looking for long-term position and not looking to use the job as a stepping stone.

None of these guys are looking for a long-term position. They are always looking for the next big gig. I say go after the best DC you can get, even if we only have them a couple of seasons.

He has friends in this area that he's been close to for quite a while.

Memphis is very fortunate to make this hire. GTG!!!

hope he brings in at least a 4-3 front. I'm kinda down on us running a 3 man front on defense now.

I read somewhere that Ohio State runs a 4-2-5, which in basic terms is four defensive lineman, two linebackers, and five “defensive backs.” I think Barnes may have changed to a two high safety scheme when he took over.

Are we dead sure we want him? OSU has given up 35 points in the first half.

Memphis will always be a stepping stone job. Even if we do get into the Big 12
