RE: LSU to require proof of vaccination to attend LSU Football Games
You are also requiring a PCR test for presumably asymptomatic people. That is not consistent with the testing algorithm.
Depending on demand, that test may take more than 3 days to get results which would not fit the requirements for entry regardless.
Finally, you will be inundating the local health facilities with thousands of people wanting a test when they have no symptoms. A complete waste of resources. They should just require a vaccine or do nothing. If you want to motivate country folk to get vaccinated then make it a requirement to get into the stadium.

Only the unvaccinated have to get the test. And the Delta Variant starts being contagious 2 days before symptoms show.

Unfortunately, Paul will not be taking calls today, he's busy overseeing Big Ten conference realignment.

The PCR test requirement is the problem. If you suddenly have thousands of extra PCR tests to run then you won't get results back in 72 hours. You will also be flooding your test facilities with people wanting a test for no reason other than they want to go to a football game. That is a terrible unintended wasteful consequence of an order.
They should just say you have to be vaccinated to go (or drop the requirement altogether). PCR or serologic testing for a FOOTBALL game is a waste of resources. We have also been told that vaccinated people can carry and spread the virus so why not require them to be tested as well? Well, that would be just as ridiculous.

Hopefully the hassle encourages people to get vaccinated, which is the long term answer.

Who is checking the vaccine cards?
Ticket-takers or security guards at LSU? That sounds like asking a 21 year old frat boy to check his friends' IDs at the bar.
My guess is that almost no one gets turned away.

Lowest I've seen is 40% effectiveness. Extremely less likely to become a super spreading event as compared to a mixed crowd even at that low of rate. Good news is the word out of Israel is that the boosters seem to be very effective at curbing the spread.

I am up-to-date. And they are still extremely effective against hospitalization or death - still 99% of hopitalizations and deaths are among the unvaccinated.

RE: LSU to require proof of vaccination to attend LSU Football Games
This seems to be the trend Nationally. Especially in the South with high Covid-19 break outs. This makes two in Louisiana with Tulane also. But I know the California schools will also have to comply with this, at least San Jose State, Stanford and Cal, because they are under the same restrictions the Giants, A's, 49ers, Warriors and Sharks are under, requiring proof of vaccination. There are probably a couple dozen schools who have quietly adopted the policy without fanfare around the country.
This will not impacting attendance much if any. Far more demand than seats, and unless something is weirdly different about people, we have fond that those most active and involved are also more likely to be vaccinated. Also the sentiment is very strong among the vaccinated, who are now over 72% of adults, to prefer only vaccinated in public events. The numbers are very much against the antivaxx movement, which is inexorably shrinking a little every day.
CDC study for Los Angeles hospitalization rates.

As bad as the security checks are in most stadiums, this could make it take forever to get in.

Is this an LSU thing or an interpretation of what the governor is requesting?

Lies, damned lies and statistics. Its only so high if you include data from the first two months of vaccinations. I'm pro vaxx, but I'm opposed to the lies the media and government are putting out as to how effective it is. Most hospitalizations in Israel are among the vaccinated. But then Israel has a real high vaccination rate, so the rate of hospitalization is much lower.
