I looked yesterday evening, and it seemed to me that the work was done, midfield logo and everything (blackletter R in white on a blue state of Texas). My guess is whoever is in charge of the camera hardware isn't the one in charge of the streaming account.

You have to remember that outside of the local area, most folks don't even know what state the school is in, so the outline might help them, if they see it, that is. For a while, after we won the Baseball NC in 2003, I noticed more people i the public I encountered would know where it is, but past 10-15 years it's gone back to almost nobody does anymore when I mention it. To me, that's proof enough of sports success helping with perception.

Working off that photo, I'm pretty sure it faces west/towards the press boxes. It's hard to tell the camera's orientation, but I think that picture was taken from the field house. Near the top left, you can see a bit of the tarp that cuts off the first few rows in front of the MOB.

It looks good. I wish they'd power wash the stadium before the season starts. The concrete looks bad.

I wish they took as good care of the stadium as the rest of the University concrete/brick work
