Explore alternatives all you want. However, until one is proven to be more cost effective AND just as useful in our everyday lives... you’re not getting any traction.

Commercially viable fusion was just around the corner when I was in college in the 70s. I don't think its any closer.

No..The race is NOT on to replace fossil fuels. It is on to supplement them. They can't be replaced now...period. Someone might solve fusion or some other giant leap..but..until that? We are going to burn whats under the ground to power what is above it predominately.
