There was zero chance there would not be spikes the 2 weeks before the election.
My guess is by next weekend it’s going to be the main topic that media will cover.
Not to too my own horn but I've been saying on here for months now that covid is just going to go nuts... allegedly... in october.
At the gym the other night i could see all three network news broadcasts on their tv's. ALL THREE ran first segment stories on how hospitals are being overrun with covid cases.
i texted a friend that works at a hospital in indy about it and he said that was news to him. said that their hospital was rather empty.
FAKE. NEWS.
No truer term has ever been created.
Local TV was talking about hospitals were being overrun. They interviewed hospital executive who wasn't the least concerned. Slight uptick over last week.
On another board a person swears up and down hospitals are overflowing in Houston and she's hearing it from colleagues who work in hospitals. I point out data showing there is no noticeable rise in cases in Houston, that hospitals as way below 50% maximum capacity and that cases are 20% of their summer peak when hospitals never got above 53% capacity. She stills tries to argue. There are a lot of stupid people out there, even ones who actually do have brains. They have been programmed.
I can see why Democratic politicians think voters are stupid. Their voters are. Mind-numbingly incapable of independent thought.

Sadly...This represents a large slice of the population educated in horrible government schools that spend all their time watching YouTube videos and tweeting. They don't read newspapers or watch anything on television dealing with current affairs. This is why Entertainment Tonight has a larger viewership than the evening news.

Cant blame you one iota. Id do the same if I was not in NC. Im going to hold my nose and vote for Trump this time in self defense. The Democrat agenda going forward is a potential disaster for this country. Just Biden's admission that he supports ending the oil and gas industry is enough for me.
Cooper has shown us a tiny bit about what living under a Biden administration will look like. All those votes in the Meck suburbs and upper end Durham that got Cooper elected probably aren't swinging his way or Biden's way this go round.

I sure hope you are right on both counts.
If Forrest pulls this off it would IMO be the biggest rebuke in NC history

I don't get it, I think Trump won the debate on policy (although I'm not sure if it was enough), but he did have some pretty bad lines. It appears to me that they are just making fun of this exact quote:
"Children are brought here by coyotes and lots of bad people, cartels. They used to use them to get into our country. We now have as strong a border as we've ever had." – Trump, on the child separation policy at the U.S.-Mexico border

Do you know what a coyote is? The idiots in those tweets don't appear to know, either.

Rob, you do know what the term 'coyote' means right? He's not referencing the mangy canine that hunts in packs.

Yes, I know, I'm just saying I would have avoided the term for a public debate to the entirety of the population. It doesn't surprise me that some of the younger audience (yet still eligible voters) it's familiar with the term.
Truthfully, I found this quote from Trump I mentioned earlier in the thread more amusing through “I know all about wind, it kills all the birds”. Like I said, I vote on policy, but am not afraid to say that he steps in it every once in a while.

Rob, there are thousands of tweets online right now from grown adults, including politicians, who are making fun of Trump's comment and obviously have no clue about the colloquial meaning, which should be obvious to anybody who reads news online.

Grown adults, I can say maybe they just don't follow immigration and it's low on their list of important issues (although they should probably keep quite about it then) - it's honestly no higher than about 10th on mine. Politicians, well there's no excuse for that.

Doubtful that these tweets or posts are anything but a phone bank of Biden campaign workers who were given a topic to pile on with. While I agree with your assessment about education the simple fact is hat demographic doesn't watch debates either and there's your tell. The other tell is that by denying coyotes (which is a real immigration term involving the recruitment and placement of immigrants most of whom pay $1200 to $2000 dollars each in their currencies equivalent to be snuck across the border and placed in a job (which is never officially listed though their employers withhold SSI and tax which they pocket), or which carry drugs if they cannot pay the fee) they are also essentially denying illegal immigration by making fun of those who seriously speak on the subject, in this case the President.
This is clearly part of the Democratic strategy for voter recruitment and is exactly in line with their tactics on ANITIFA being an idea, BLM a peaceful civil rights movement combating "systemic racism" and their making fun of and attacking people online who don't buy into their BS cover for socialist objectives such as the Green New Deal and Climate Change (which though real is the product of the Earth's natural progress around the Sun and the movement of the Galaxy.
So those chirping in pretending to misunderstand what a coyote is, don't misunderstand it, they are seeking to deny the activity because it justifies the wall, stops illegals from being used to boost Dem votes, and keeps open a pathway for communist organizers to continue to sneak in, the drugs to continue to undermine our society (and I'm not speaking of cannabis) and for illegal arms to be smuggled in as well. These are definitely not a collection of the cultivated idiots of public education all have the same misconception.

I know exactly what he's talk about, but it would sound alot more intelligent if he stated something to the degree of "I know all about the use of wind turbines for power generation, they are inefficient and contribute to significant wildlife mortality", then "I know all about wind" - really everything about the wind?, "it kills all birds" - really, all birds, then what is that flying in my back yard?

How can they follow politics closely enough to immediately jump in and make fun of Trump, but not follow immigration (one of the political hot button items), and not understand such a commonly used phrase?
