Presidential Debate #3 2020/10/22
Figured I'd start a thread on this one. I work less than a mile from where the debate is going to be. Surprisingly little traffic or elevated police presence

I pray Trump just plays this low key and not attack consistently. Let Joe talk.

Debated on calling it #2 or #3 since it's the 3rd scheduled. Since moderator of debate #2 is a hot topic, decided to keep it on #3 for clarity

There is no way Trump can win this debate. The fix is already in. The moderator will want to discuss about the racial issue and the climate change for thirty minutes. Their “foreign policy” topic will be Russian and Iran interference. I also suspect that the moderator will mute Trump while letting Biden interrupt. Speaking of Biden, he has been preparing for this debate in his basement for three straight days. So expect alot of pre-scripted messages from Biden.

I hope they don't think that a mute button will work on Trump.

That said, I hope Trump's people have drilled it in his head that the strategy with Biden is that it is best to let him talk. That way more stupid things come out of his yap.

I don't think it matters.. All The Don has to do is let Joe rattle on and then ask, Seriously Joe what the f*ck was that?

Trump needs to bring a small dry erase board with him. He can write things like
"Lie", "Are you gonna ask him about 'big guy'?" or "Where did you put the Hunter $$$ Joe?" Would be hilarious.

Yup to both of these ^^^

Two minutes of improv is actually kinda a long time. For the feeble-minded it can be a lifetime and genuinely scary.

Let him prattle on as long as he likes, then simply ask the dim moderator and the camera “Did that actually answer your question?”.

He doesn't have the self-control to let Joe talk without interjecting. As long as they're sharing a stage he will be interrupting. The next step will have to be putting them in sound proof booths. Hopefully they will have the sense to cut his mic while the moderator is speaking as well.

It's not like they haven't both been prepped on any topic that might come up. Excepting for corn and bean prices maybe (Iowa joke).

RE: Presidential Debate #3 2020/10/22
I agree with letting Joe talk for his full two minutes. His brain will begin to malfunction after about a minute or two and will get worse the more tired he becomes.

What I hope is that Trump is able to bring up the Biden family scandal but he needs to avoid making this debate ALL about that. Highlight the accomplishments of his first 4 years in the face of attack, attack, attack.

Mention that it is two weeks until the election and where has Joe been? In his basement hiding. He doesn't have the stamina to be President. He is counting on the media and social media hiding the public's access to the NY Post story regarding his corruption, and hoping to avoid any questions about it until election day.

Find a way to swing the talk into foreign policy. Mention the peace deals in the ME, bringing our troops home, and the fact that the Biden dealings with China, Russia, Iran and Ukraine leave Joe and/or his family vulnerable to being blackmailed, as surely those countries' intelligence services have a lot of material on Joe. Emphasize that he is a national security threat due to those deals.

Remember, when most people vote, to them it is about the economy, so keep playing that card. Remind Americans that dems want to blame HIM for what has happened in their own states due to the policies of THEIR OWN democrat governors. Explain that he has to stay out of mandating anything to the states and if people have issues with having their businesses closed, schools still not allowing kids in person that they need to take them up with local and state leadership, as it was not his policies. Stress that he has been for opening up things and getting our economy going.

Furthermore, mention that further financial aid to the people is being held up by Nancy Pelosi and the democrats, as she wants a long list of things that have NOTHING to do with the pandemic.

Mention things that the dems have said they want to do if elected. Higher taxes, gun confiscation, packing the courts, adding D.C. and Puerto Rico as states with 4 more democrat Senators, eliminating the filibuster. Explain that those schemes will transform our highest court into just another political body and this would change our country in ways that are not good for us.

All Trump really needs out of this debate is a tie. It won't change many minds unless something really unusual happens. Trump should stay calm, look like he is in charge and shred the human cabbagehead on the other side of the stage. Don't be too aggressive, as some voters are offended by somebody who actually fights those who attack him.

"We're learning to live w/ it. We have no choice. We can't lock ourselves in a basement like Joe, but he's obviously made a lot of money some place. We won't have a nation locked up"

Mod comes to Biden's rescue a lot
