Fire Littrell....
It is time to realize that Littrell will not lead North Texas where we want to go. He is getting paid $1.865 million a season. But after five years, Littrell is now 28-26 and 0-3 in bowl games. Littrell needs to go back to being an OC. Jay Hopson had almost an identical record at Southern Miss and was gone after week 1 of this season. Littrell has to go, and others in the Mean Green fan base agree. I hope this doesn't get ugly like when we fired McCarney and AD Villarreal. Fire Littrell.

If a HC gets fired in the middle of a season, then things have gotten ugly.

Really feeling bad for what’s happening at North Texas. The Littrell contract extension resembles the albatross that Rice created with the David Bailiff contract extensions. Good luck.

Starting salary should be 500k and get a bump up after proving themselves after year 2 or 3.

RE: Fire Littrell....
I've always thought Littrell was over-rated. It's one thing to have some tough games or maybe even a tough season. Stuff happens. But the days of giving up 65 points to a cross-town peer opponent like SMU should be far in UNT's review mirror. The UNT program should be further along than that. Especially with as much money as ya'll throw at it. UNT deserves better.

Maybe, with all that money, you could hire Bloomgren away from Rice.

I don't know....Bloomgren has a hell of a gig. I'm sure he gets paid his full salary, and he doesn't even have to coach. 03-lmfao

The likelihood of Littrell getting fired in season is next to none. The SMU loss was disgraceful, but it was only one game in the season.

So unless you want to anti up a few million to buyout his contract, you are just venting.

I guess you also would like Baker gone, after all he is the one who is responsible for Littrell's contract.

I don't think "high dollar fans" at UNT will pony up to buy out Littrell's contract. The big donor money went to build the indoor practice facility. BTW, after last night's game against SMU I don't see where the IPF has benefitted our FB team and it's ability to compete.

Get in line. If any coach should have been fired this morning he resides in Murfreesboro.

No correlation in G5 between commuter school revenue and success.

Look at UNT and ODU in CUSA. At least UNT has football...

He must regret not having taken the K St job. Good example of why I don’t blame a coach that jumps at the first P5 offer.

RE: Fire Littrell....
No excuses for this we have more invested and have more resources available than at any time in our history and we're still a laughing stock. This team does only have 10 scholarship seniors, 3 of which don't play. By my count we started 8 sophomores yesterday but that is the same garbage you hear from the same teams who underperform every year. Who gives a S? There is no guarantee that a bad sophomore will turn out to be a great player as a senior. What does La Tech do besides win and put players in the league every season? It's not that we lost it's how we lost. In 2008 a Todd Dodge led North Texas team lost 77-20 to Rice, yesterday felt the same. Year 5 and this is the product we get? Unacceptable. Both the AD who gave the ludicrous extension and Littrell need to be held accountable.

Unfortunately there is no way we will pony up the money to get him out of here. He will be back in 2021 heading in to year 6 after back to back losing seasons.

That's just how it goes for North Texas. We were on the verge of going to the NCAA tournament for the first time in ages and a F'ING pandemic happened LOL we couldn't even enjoy that.

Peer? You obviously haven't been paying much attention to what Dykes is doing at SMU. There was a time just 3 seasons ago where the statement would be somewhat accurate, but he has done a bang up job in a short time building them up pretty well. Do you also consider TCU to be a "peer" as well?
