I think the fact that Jans is getting looked at is credit to him and the school. I do not want him to leave, but if he thinks that long-term ETSU is better situated, I can understand that.
I also feel like I need to share this story here.
I grew up in Western NY, and went to NMSU sight unseen. I was taken out to dinner at a restaurant that was right across from campus called The Hacienda (I know, that is a dumb name). My experience with Mexican food was Tacos. I had no idea what to order, so a friend suggested Navajo Taco's. Which are great!
I was then asked, the question "Red or Green?" My answer was "Red or Green what?" They all looked at me like I was crazy and said "Chili!" In my mind, chili had kidney beans, hamburger meat, etc. Who in the world would want green of that? That would be full of mold. So, I replied "Red."
The staff brought out the food, and they put the Navajo Taco in front of me, then a bowl that looked like tomato paste. I moved that to the side and then ate the Navajo taco, it was amazing. When I finished, I then took the bowl and put it front of me. I took the spoon, stirred it up a little bit, and wondered where the beans, etc were. I figured that maybe NM chili is a little different. So I got a big spoon and put it in my mouth. I should have noticed that conversation had stopped at the table, everyone was watching me. They were all thinking that I had an idea about what I was about to do, nope.
This was me:
The staff was at my chair in about 5 min with bread and milk, they too saw what was about to happen and were prepared. Needless to say, I learned my lesson. By the way, the answer is Green.
