Only a few Marshall fans were thumping their chests. Most on their own message board expected a blowout loss. I'm not going to pile it on. Just here to say good game Marshall and hope we play a series OOC at some point in the future.

It sucks Norvell never even won a bowl game while at Memphis. He still landed a Pinnacle football job in the P5. That is a testament and says a lot about the perspective and respect of the strength of the AAC from outsiders for what he did accomplish within the AAC.

Way to take care of business UCF! Nice to the conference get back on track during bowl season after an early hiccup.

I know the situations were different but KZ going 6-7 in 2016 with a bowl game during his true freshman season was valuable experience for 13-0 in 2017.

So DG going 10-3 his true freshman season should be great experience heading into his Year 2. The future is bright.

Marshall has a great football program. The played with a lot of heart. Doc Holliday is a good coach as well. For years and years Marshall was the program we dreamed of being. This was a nice win for UCF

Listen, I appreciate reading the nice comments towards Marshall, but the fact of the matter is we are a terrible football program right now. UFC could have scored 70 on us if they would have had all of their best players.
The AAC has really became a monster, and I wish we could be a part of it. Congrats to UCF and look forward to old conference mate Memphis taking care of business in the cotton bowl. Hope we can schedule some home and home with some of you all in the future.

As far as Marshall goes, we need to fire Holliday and get an up and coming coach. We can’t hang on to our success from the 90’s any longer. It’s time to do something this decade and maybe become appealing enough for an AAC invite (if it ever adds a 12th member).
