Where would you draw the line? Last year's champion almost lost to an FCS school last night. I'm not sure there is a top and bottom half. Does a pile of **** have any sides?
Mine does. I crank on big square ones.

Exactly. I still buy season tix/attend all home games every year...but each season is a reminder at just how pathetic this conference has gotten. Hopefully Southern Miss football will get off it's ass this season and run through it, because it's a terrible conference.
As far as ULM/Charlotte go. Yeah, you guys beat us last year. We tend to play up/down to the competition. But no way in hell would I choose ULM/Charlotte as a school to be in a conference with if I was creating a new league. ULL/App State would get the nod over them.

The irony is
1). This ain’t never going to happen, it’s just USM fans throwing shade because their school is going backwards
2). And if this ever happened, USM would be the school all these other schools would be bitching about.

Let me try and explain something;
First of all you are correct on one thing, we have gone backwards. Being in this conference is an example of that.
Now for the record. USM has had a proud past. We are not new to this rodeo. We have beaten the big boys. We are the only team to have beaten The Bear in Tuscaloosa. We have beaten Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Kentucky, many more and have owned most every team in the AAC.
I would venture to say most teams in this league will never reach those mile stones. They will probably not even ever get the opportunity to.
So, this league sucks. But whenever the older more knowledgeable football fans get together and talk they will know who Southern Miss is. Most of the rest of this conference not so much.
Now where is this going you ask? Well first of all this conference needs an identity. It has none now. USM is and will be the flagship of this chitty league until someone matches their history. That ain’t happening soon so for now I would suggest to you newbees to respect your elders and do your best to emulate their past success.

As a Marshall fan, you should know better. Last years champion was UAB. This is the same UAB that has always been a FBS bottom dweller. If UAB FB was a porn, the credits would have been running right when the 2019 season ended.

You don't get out much. Visit the SBC board sometimes and see who are the top couple teams they want to join if there is a realignment between CUSA and SBC. It's the same schools that were the reason most of the SBC teams in CUSA are here.

If it is, the you can take the last 3 CCG and add the attendance together, that will be the number of people at the game.

It must hurt to be owned by such a pathetic program. Mississippi Southern may have won the first nine in a row but you are 1-7 in the last 8 against a FBS bottom dweller

Great. That history sure helped you out a lot during that 20 game losing streak this decade, right? Or the home games you sold to keep the lights on? And that history sure was all over the field in Charlotte last season?
History don’t mean crap on the field. You’re living in the 80’s. You better be concerned that the Texas schools don’t figure this out and your three free wins a year don’t go away.

UNCC has a pretty broad selection of programs, but the level of education is comparable to App. I see evidence of this every day in the private sector.
Also, I was accepted to UNCC as well as App. I visited both campuses and made my decision.

I would hope the level of education for two in system schools would be the same when the Board of Governors puts us all on the same $ per student starvation diet to feed the Beast in Chapel Hill, but breadth of programs and research status is also import to university leaders.
Travel expenses are not a major issue to every G5 school and I doubt it will be big enough to force a realignment on its own. The next realignment will be caused by the same thing all of them have been caused by for the last 2 decades. Movements from the top.
