I know 450 and I could make an entire thread by ourselves discussing Bodybuilding thoughts & ideas. Surely somebody else in here has actually touched a weight in their life and understands basic nutrition.
I used to be into lifting.
I think smokers probably all feel defeated like has-beens, but you don't have to be.
From my study in Wellness in college we can recover from long-term smoking within a matter of months of cessation of long-term smoking. That's how resilient the human body is, and how you can get your's back.
Oh I quit a while back. I only smoke Bugle Boy now.

Arnold played every psychological play in the book to defeat Ferrigno. The defending champ always gets the nod, and Arnold mastered it.
The 1980 Mr. Olypmia Arnold's comeback vs. Mike Mentzer was one of the most highly controversial Mr. Olympias.
Highly interesting reading...Mike Mentzer wrote a book about 'HIT"...High Intensity Training, and should have defeated Arnold in his final comeback season."
He trained 3-5 minutes per workout for his Legs. Basically 5-10 minutes for his upper workouts. But yeah, he's the Father of "1 set per muscle group" in any for of athletic training if you are training for strength and conditiononimg.

Lol, well I can't speak to that. I haven't read about his sex life, lol.
But Mike Mentzer was as much a philosopher as he was a scientific bodybuilder. Many feel he should have won the 1980 Mr. Olympia, but Arnold got the nod only because he was making the comeback his final season.
In his books he explains the science behind his workouts for HIT. He basically spent 10 minutes in the gym on upper body and 20 minutes in the gym on lower body, separately days apart, while training for the Mr. Olympia.
Dorian Yates adapted to a similar philosophy to become the biggest and baddest hardcore training philosophy of all time and became 6-time Mr. Olympia during the 90s.
His philosophy was simple. You drive a nail through a board with one hard whack. If you keep beating on it you are only damaging the board. That's how muscle tissue works, it needs no more than one maximum intensity set to stimulate optimal muscle tissue growth.

For a contemporary opposing view about volume:
That's not contemporary thinking for maximizing muscle growth and strength at all, quite the opposite. That's a very antiquated mindset of developing muscle. He didn't address the concept of intensity at all.
By definition, Higher Volume = Lower Intensity. That's just basic anaerobic vs aerobic exercise.
I can run sprints to burn out my Quadriceps, or I can do a set of Squats to failure. Volume vs. Intensity, Aerobic vs. Anaerobic. Ideally, find a healthy balance between the two.

When your brain is under control, controlling your body is like controlling a twig.
Watching Ronnie Coleman repping out with 405lb. Front Squats should humble any athlete. You can insult that feat of strength, or insist mocking him amongst yourselves.

Because you post like a 13 -year old internet tough guy.
I prefer 405 lb deadlifts. It's my strongest lift. Two platters on each side & 225. I can rep out 8-10 reps squats and bench presses,
But I'm sure you can handle 10 plates on each side.
You also don't seem to have a basic understanding of fundamental nutrition for an athlete beyond a 10-year old.
Prove us wrong you're not a fraud, you sure seem grossly incompetent to me.
